Buy yourself a tube of Pringles and enjoy the contents, you'll then end up with a plastic clear round top which makes a great paint mixing palette.

All my friends and family are already under instructions to collect them for me. My sister recently gave me a carrier bag full she'd collected at a party! Should have enough to last me several years.

They're also excellent for putting small puddles of superglue on & then using a pin or piece of wire to apply it to whatever needs sticking. The superglue takes ages to dry out on that sort of plastic!

And they're the right size to use as Whiskas cat food tin covers!!

Good tip. That's what I use the crown caps from my beer bottles for.

Yep, those pringles tops are excellent for that... I have one on the bench right now :) I use it for anything from small blobs of paint (like a pallette), glues, fillers, etc, etc...

Just don't put your bare elbow in there while working... especially when there's superglue in there :fool: I can heartily advise against that after accidental experimentation.

... or you tight buggers could just go out and buy a kiddies mixing palette for less than the price of a tube of Pringles like I did :P
(...can't find the virtuous, smug git emoticon!)

Also excellent for mixing two-part expoxies like Araldite.

And I use them to keep small parts in on the bench when I'm working, such as wheels, pitots etc.
