I need to strip gloss black Tamiya spray from my old Renault Magnum, which I'm intending to restore, but my regular method (thick bleach) does't seem to work. While all other paints are gone in notime TS is unafected  . Has anyone have an idea? Thanks |

Hi Emil, I've taken the liberty of moving your question to this new forum. My own preferred method is to coat up or immerse the affected parts in old brake fluid. Leave for a few hours then scrub off with some soapy water and rinse clean. You may need an old toothbrush to scrub out paint from any engraved lines. Another method is to use Mr Muscle or Fairy Power spray oven cleaners. Coat up the parts, tie them up in a poly bag, leave for a few hours then scrub off as above. Always wear rubber gloves when using material for paint stripping. peebeep |
