Actually, if I would look at our church, my parents are pretty much on the young side, and they're definitely older than 34. Tracy, you could probably ask to join the 'youth' activities, and you'd be welcomed with open arms. ;)
Alright, I admit, not quite that bad :hiding: ...but close enough!

:hmmm: Guess I should come up with an international riddle then. That is, if you're still interested... :) I think I have about another three that I can think of off the top of my head.

Go for it, zeilfanaat...try to baffle us again...

Alright, one new riddle coming up...

A man lives on the 14th floor of an apartment building.
Each day, he goes down 14 floors with the elevator/lift, goes to work, comes back, goes up 7 floors with the elevator/lift, and takes the stairs for the remaining floors.
Except when it rains, in which case he goes down 14 floors with the elevator/lift, goes to work, comes back, and goes up 14 floors with the elevator/lift.

Why?

:)

I think you can tell the answer, Cath, since it doesn't look like anyone is going to venture a guess. ;)

he's too short to reach the button for floor 14, he can only reach the one for floor 7 which is why he gets out there and walks the rest of the way up but he can go all the way down because he can reach the button for the ground florr

however when it rains he has an unmbre;la so he can use that to reach the button for floor 14

:) Alright. New riddle:

A man walks into a bar, and asks for a glass of water. The barman pulls out a gun and points it at the man, who thanks him and leaves.

What's going on?

The man who walked into the bar had the hiccups and the barman who pulled the gun on him scared them out of him?

Which reminds me of a show of DOC!!!!!

Woohoo! :applause:
Tracy got the answer in one go! Who would ever have thought that DOC could be useful in riddles like this.

Well, since we're on a roll...

There's a tower in the desert of 10 metres high. There are no windows, you can't climb the walls, and 3 metres above the floor there's a man who hanged himself. Outside the door is a wheelbarrow.

How did the man hang himself?

Well, the riddle wasn't in an episode of DOC, but it reminded me of an episode of DOC where Dr. Derek Hebert has a really bad case of hiccups (can't remember how long they lasted but I think it was a week or more) and someone tries to mug him and he thinks that someone at the clinic put the guy up to it to scare the hiccups out of him!

Anyway, as to your new riddle, I'm still :hmmm: about it. I feel like I've heard something like it before...
I have to go figure out the meter to feet conversion (I don't remember it off the top of my head) since we don't use meters here, but feet....

 Did it help with his hiccups?

As for the new riddle... in feet, the tower would be approximately 33 feet, and the man is hanging 10 feet above the floor. (Under the assumption that 1 foot = 30cm.:))

Hope it helps,

Sorry it took me a while to reply. I'm not entirely sure I remember correctly. The episode was a Season 2 episode - 'Home Is Where the Heart Is' and I looked to see if I could find it so I could watch it again. I haven't found it yet. Doesn't necessarily mean I don't have it but I have temporarily misplaced it if I do.

But I think his hiccups temporarily went away and then when he realizes it's real - I think they come back. But like I said - I'm not sure and would have to double-check. It's been a while since I saw that episode.

As to the riddle:

Assuming there's a big puddle of water under the guy, he used the wheelbarrow to cart several large blocks of ice into the tower. He then stacked the large blocks of ice, climbed onto the blocks of ice, hung the rope from the ceiling of the tower, hung the noose around his neck, and waited for the blocks of ice to melt - thereby hanging him. :dunno:
Of course, he'd have to be pretty tall and they'd have to be some big blocks of ice....
