Mount Everest is generally thought to be the tallest mountain. However the following link World's Tallest Mountain talks about how it is the tallest mountain whose bottom is the surface of the earth, but not the tallest mountain if you count what's underneath the surface of the earth. See this site is fun and educational! ![]() Tracy |

I just realised what the answer was. The tallest mountain before Mount Everest was discovered, was... the Mount Everest of course. (Leaving aside the technical details for a bit, and say that the Mount Everest is the highest mountain.) Just because it wasn't discovered until then, doesn't mean it wasn't that high already. Can't believe I didn't realise this earlier!! Good one Tracy! Ok, new riddle... Finish this sequence: o, t, t, f, f, s, ... |

Is the bunny dead? Or just right in the middle? Because if it's dead, he won't be doing much jumping... zeilfanaat |

Yay!! Poor bunny... Ok, new riddle: There are five doors, one leads to the exit, the others lead to traps. They are in a line. The clues tell you which position the doors are in the line and where the door to freedom is. All the clues are true. Each door has a clue written on it. The clues read: The blue door: This door is two spots away from the door to freedom. The red door: This door is at the far right, and is two spots away from the blue door. The purple door: This door is not next to the door to freedom. The green door: This door is left of the blue door. The orange door: This door is not next to the red or blue doors. Which door leads to freedom? |

Yes! That's correct! Ok, a long riddle then. Warning: this may take a while in figuring out, but it's fun trying... and succeeding. There are 5 houses in 5 different colors in a row. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar, or drink the same beverage. Other facts: 1. The Brit lives in the red house. 2. The Swede keeps dogs as pets. 3. The Dane drinks tea. 4. The green house is on the immediate left of the white house. 5. The green house's owner drinks coffee. 6. The owner who smokes Pall Mall rears birds. 7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill. 8. The owner living in the center house drinks milk. 9. The Norwegian lives in the first house. 10. The owner who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats. 11. The owner who keeps the horse lives next to the one who smokes Dunhill. 12. The owner who smokes Bluemasters drinks beer. 13. The German smokes Prince. 14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house. 15. The owner who smokes Blends lives next to the one who drinks water. Question: who owns the fish? zeilfanaat |

Okey dokey - I think I have the answer: I think the German - who lives in the 4th house which is green, who drinks coffee, and who smokes Prince cigars is the one who owns the fish. 1st house - yellow Norweigen drinks water owns cats smokes Dunhill 2nd house - blue Dane drinks tea owns horses smokes Blends 3rd house - red Brit drinks milk owns birds smokes Pall Mall 4th house - green German drinks coffee owns fish smokes Prince 5th house - white Swede drinks beer owns dogs smokes Bluemasters ? Woohoo! I got it right! Yep, it was definitely a fun one to figure out! Couldn't have done it without drawing a picture to visualize it though. Do I have another riddle? - new riddle:There is a common English word that is nine letters long. Each time you remove a letter from it, it still remains an English word - from nine letters right down to a single letter. What is the original word, and what are the words that it becomes after removing one letter at a time? Tracy |
