Town!! I have never really lived in a city, just stayed there whenever I was on a holiday there or something, but just the thought of being unable to walk for a few minutes and see a stretch of grass or woods or water... Reading (a book of) the Bible in order, or following a Bible reading schedule? |

Either way. I also like opening the Bible at random. It's amazing. When you read, chair or couch? |

I don't just trust anyone with anything, and sometimes I can be a bit suspicious about someone's motives for doing or saying something. On the other hand, I'm quite open and I do trust people with my opinions or thoughts on many matters. So, am I trusting or untrusting, I don't know. I do know I want to be completely trusting towards God, because if you can't trust Him, who can you trust? Theory or Practice? |

Theory and practice go together. I don't think one makes sense without the other. I'd say that almost always practical. I like theories such as lectures, talks, dialogues, reflections ... however in practice I can think about the theory. Stubborn or condescending? |

You're asking which I prefer? 'cause I doubt anyone would prefer condescending. Or perhaps you're asking which I'm more like... Well, I am never stubborn... as long as things go my way. I sure try to never be condescending. Actually, I'm usually quite the opposite - I tend to put myself down if I compare myself with others... which is why I'm trying not to compare myself with others... So, short answer: stubborn. Making lists/notes or going by memory? |

I spend all day making lists. With my parents, necessary for planning. At home, lists of things to do for each one. Shopping list ... if it's for my husband I know he'll forget it somewhere and he'll buy half supermarket unnecessary things. Lists of phone calls... I usually do things going by memory. Always the same church or different. |

Well, so far, whenever we went to live somewhere else, we always visit a couple of churches and then stayed when we felt at home. We don't necessarily care about going to church with a certain denomination (although a certain overlap in convictions is quite useful ;)). I think it's important to look in different churches, look across those walls we've pulled up to divide, and instead come together. There will always be things you like and agree with in a certain church, and there will always be things you don't agree with - no matter what church you go to. That doesn't necessarily apply only to churches - it applies to cultures, religions, places, people... During holidays, we always search for a church in the neighbourhood. Even if we don't understand the language. Somehow, it always ended up being a great experience. So yeah - we look around in different churches. However, since returning to live in The Netherlands, we have been going to the same church, because I do think it's important that once you've chosen to go to a certain church, you stick around, make friends, share, show each other you care for them, do things - no matter how small or insignificant it may appear. Stay, even when times get tough or you stumble into something you don't agree with (although I understand there are circumstances it's not possible to stay) - because like I said, there will always be things you agree with, and there will always be things you disagree with. It's how you deal with these disagreements that matters. You don't have to agree with each other, as long as you respect each other. Besides, if you stay, you can help change things. In the end, it's not what we think, it's what God thinks. Right - I think I answered that question quite thoroughly. Large supermarkets or individual shops like bakery, butcher-shop, etcetera? |

Sorry. I'm sorry. I realize the question has not been correct. I assure you it was not my intention. I made it thinking of us and not of you. My personal and family life is bound to four different churches. When I say churches I mean community and buildings. We live in a small town of about 3,000 inhabitants. Since we did our preparation to be married, I started my relationship with one of the churches. Our life is bound to it. My parents have a house for summers and weekends 15 km from here, my home. All my life I've been involved with the church there. My father continues to actively participate in the celebrations as he has done all his life. Many Sundays, when he read a Psalm or some Reading despite his illness, all we are moved. Throughout his youth, my husband was part of the youth group from a church in another nearby village. Our relationship with people (the other young of 40 years ago) is still good and with the Pastor has been very important. My favorite place is the one further away. The church situation is privileged. For me it's a place of "peace and contemplation". When I go, I back with "all my batteries recharged". I must add that this place is where I give more hugs and get more hugs. You can now understand my question? Sorry, did not want to make you feel bad. Guitar or piano? |

Oh, don't worry, you didn't make me feel bad at all! I just got carried away answering (what I thought was) the question. When my parents and I are in France, we still occasionally go back to the church we used to go to while we lived there. We're always welcomed there with open arms, so I know what you mean about a place where you give and get more hugs than elsewhere. Well, I play guitar but no piano, so I guess guitar. Taking charge or following instructions? |

Following instructions if there is any risk or I have to set something up. Taking charge works for me! Your desk, organized or disorganized with a personal touch. |

My comments are: your room needs an style change or too personal touch in your room. ![]() I'd rather listen, I feel better. I like to watch too. Anyway to connect with people is often necessary to talk. If you start talking, you end up listening. This works for me! You think with your mind or heart |

Comments duly noted. That's true. Nowadays, pretty much no one else will start a conversation if you don't, so, if you want to connect with other people, you've got to be the one to reach out. Well, that's my experience anyway. ![]() Interesting question. I guess initially with my heart, then only after that with my mind. And then I hope they agree. Playing card-games or boardgames? |
