Character Details

Name: Jessica “Eternity” Lilllis
Race: Human

Appearance: A young woman about 5’2”, with black hair in a long ponytail and piercing green eyes. Her build is lithe and athletic. Wears a sailor shirt with a purple capelet, which has been cut down the middle to reveal a purple camo t-shirt, a pleated, purple mini-skirt, blue jeans, Chuck Taylor-style black boots, a steel chain for a belt, and black, fingerless gloves. Sewn on the back of the sailor shirt and to the left thigh of her pants is a patch of a lavender rose with a skull in it.

Personality: Eternity is recalcitrant and standoffish, and seems to have a slight grudge with Lilin. People who know her best know she’s a friendly, caring girl, albeit with a bit of a mean streak. She is looking forward to when she can finally move out and live on her own, but feels the world is dragging her down.

When she makes a decision, she sticks hard by it and can get moody when contradicted, ignored, or otherwise proven wrong. She has little trust for authority beyond her own friends, and as such will disregard any rule that doesn’t suit her. Aside from her friends and extreme emotional displays, other people’s feelings don’t really concern her (She’s been known to panic when someone cries in front of her).

Eternity is a fierce combatant, seeing a fight as a way to work out her aggression, and frequently goes for blood. It frustrates her when things don’t go her way, almost to the point of spitefulness. She can act impulsively, but otherwise seems driven and focused.

History: Jessica “Eternity” Lillis grew up thinking of her mother as a strong, independent woman, fearless in the face of setbacks with a kind, compassionate heart. When her father died, her mother had to raise her on her own for a few years while striving to make ends meet. Somewhere between making an honest living and being a single mother, she found the time for love. Jessica got to meet many of her boyfriends, and they were all great and interesting people, but their relationships didn’t last very long.

Eventually, her mother introduced her to an Incubus named Kevin. Jessica at first thought Kevin was just a boy-toy her mother would be through with after a couple weeks. He was an Incubus after all, and she didn’t think they were the type to stick around very long anyway. But her mother really loved him, which made for a potent energy that sustained Kevin for a long time while hardly draining her at all. Eternity spent many long weekends alone as mother spent more and more alone-time with Kevin. She was a little jealous of the two of them spending so much time without her, but as long as her mother was happy, she didn’t mind it. It wasn’t long before they moved in with him and soon enough they were married.

Shortly after they moved in, mother had to come out to Jessica: She was a submissive, and Kevin was her master. Shocking to say the least, but Jessica said she was alright with it. Her mother was still the same strong, independent person by all accounts, with a job and everything, and Jessica was one of the few they trusted with the secret that her mother had a fetish that only Kevin was allowed to exploit. Jessica had lied, though. A white lie for her mother’s sake, and she’d figured she’d get used to the idea.

She still hasn’t. Not in any way she likes, at least. Seeing her mother come home everyday to play kinky servant-girl to her stepfather is a constant embarrassment to her, especially the degrading nickname mother seems to love answering to. They haven’t done anything especially heavy in front of her, although there has been a bit of a slide in what they were afraid she might see or hear. But by no means is Kevin a bad guy. Jessica would be the first to admit how great a person he is, perhaps better than her own father, but what he did to the image she had of her mother still upsets her and she has yet to forgive him for it.

Kevin is the kind of guy who likes to give nicknames to people he likes. While most of them stick, he actually changed the nickname he gave Jessica around the time he married her mother to reflect the name he would’ve given her if she were his own daughter. She looked so much like her mother, whose eyes he said he could look into forever, so he wanted to call Jessica “Eternity.” While flattering, she always thought it sounded like a stripper’s name (and she’s come to appreciate it less since) and probably would’ve only let Kevin call her that if she hadn’t told her best friend Crisis about it. Now everyone calls her Eternity.

Character Bonuses
-Kinda Racist: Eternity gets five Mana for being rude to Lilin, but gets nothing if she goes out of her way to bully them.
-Dominatrix: Eternity gets five Mana for disciplining someone, ten if they or an observer considers it a joke, playful roughhousing, or a charm point (not accumulative).
-Shibari: Eternity gets five Mana when she applies restraints or restraining effects outside of combat (although it counts if they are still restrained after combat ends).

Battle Data

Battle Style: The chain she wears isn’t actually a belt. She wields it like a whip to smack around her enemies. Her battle style revolves around it, but it has utilitarian uses, too. It also works as a medium for her magic.

Special Techniques and Equipment

  • Steel Serpent: An Alter Ego that manifests around her chain in the form of a silver cobra. In addition to being able to move around like a cobra, it can bite enemies and inject a poison that causes pain and minor damage over three turns.
  • Icy Gaze: Eternity glares at the enemy. If their eyes met hers, they become paralyzed for until the end of her next turn.
  • Spirit Tether: If Eternity touches a part of someone’s body that is touching another surface, it becomes stuck to that surface. Outside of combat, the effect lasts until Eternity dismisses it or the end of the thread or event, whichever comes first. In combat, if the surface is movable or if the target is only slightly hindered, this effect lasts three turns and doesn’t count as an immobilization effect. Otherwise, it only lasts one turn.
  • Chain Link Defense: Eternity can twirl her chain around really fast to act as a shield.

Union Technique: Death Grip
Eternity can attempt to wrestle her target in an attempt to either restrain them or weigh them down and make them slower. She may maintain Death Grip for as long as she likes, but the effect ends the moment she attempts any other action, including defending herself.

Ultimate Technique: Silent Eternity
Eternity’s eyes glow violet for a moment before emitting a brilliant flash of light. Anyone who looks her in the eyes when they flash experiences pain so fierce all other thoughts are flushed from their mind. This immobilizes them for five turns or until attacked, at which point they may immediately defend themselves. Even after the immobilization effect wears off, they are rendered unable to use magical effects for one turn greater than the remaining duration.
