;) okay many of you may know this, but THE united states could move into syria or iran for our next war. from the press russia been giving them weapons, and which syria has a better miltary then iraq. the fear is if we attack syria, and syria will attack ISRAEL. so their be a war on two fronts, and could this be a start of another world war. if a world war happens they will issue a draft especially if our miltary is weak. |

I don't think that we will invade Iran or Syria, becasue even with a draft, we probably wouldn't have enought troops. At least we wouldn't if we try to go it alon like we essentially are in Iraq. Our military is already stretched too thin, and we can't afford to go after either of those countries until we get out of Iraq, and we may not have enough troops even then. |

congress wont let that fool draft us to goto war. unless all of our troop all of a sudden die, and i dont see that happening. And a World war would have to invole more bigger countries lol. i think we can haddle these if it comes to it... Hint Hiroshima. |

Yes, but the United States is not the only country with nuclear (sp?) weapons anymore, even Pakistan has them. Do you think that the American people want to risk getting killed by an atomic weapon? And congress wouldn't stop the govt, our congressmen and women are too cowardly to stand up against the president. :angry: |

no they wouldn't let the pres. do a draft since it takes an act of congress. i highly doubt that they would unless they, meaning a foregin coutry like iran or syria, would envade another country of major importance either in commerce or another factor. And/or bomb the heck out of us. Yes they do have NWPs but im sure we can hitthem faster and possible destory their bomb beforeit has any major harm towards americans. And congress doesn't have a really important say if the president uses atomic bombs, but their does have to be a certain number of cabient members and army officals to make the weapon "hot." Plus the Pres. said that going atomic is NOT out of the opitions, just last night. |

Yeah casue it would be such a great idea to use nukes, becasue we have so many ways to stop them once they're in the air (read: we have NO way to stop a nuke once it's in the air.) |

;) YEAH but nations like these china russia North Korea their nuclear weapons can reach us, but the smaller nations can't. yes you can stop missiles from hitting UNITED STATES or any other countries that way we have much bigger guns cause we shoot them down. please syria be stupid to fire NWP cause we can make the blast 10x worse HIROSMA bomb |

umm YES there are ways of destorying nuclear weapons overseas. And there has been serveral test off the SC coastline. i know i live on the coast. nuff said... The Ground Based Inteceptor is the “weapon” of the NMD system. Its mission is to intercept incoming ballistic missile warheads outside the earth’s atmosphere (exoatmospheric) and destroy them by force of the impact. During flight, the GBI is sent information from the NMD BMC2 through the IFICS to update the location of the incoming ballistic missile, enabling the GBI onboard sensor system to identify and home-in on the assigned target. The GBI element would include the interceptor and associated launch and support equipment, silos, facilities, and personnel. The GBI missile has two main components: an EKV and solid propellant boosters. Each GBI site would be adequate in size to initially accommodate 20 interceptor missiles, with expansion possible to as many as 100 interceptors. The GBI would be a dormant missile that would remain in the underground launch silo until launch. Launches would occur only in defense of the United States from a ballistic missile attack. There would be no flight testing of the missiles at the NMD deployment site. And off the coast of fl, sc and Alaska im not sure about other states but there are C3 C2 and C1's that are there for Anti-missile missile defense (it's not really called that lol.) it's apart of the NMD also there are RBFG (really big F'ing Guns) used to basically shoot down small ICMBS and STS missles. Pun that would be funny lol. |

it's not letting be edit the previous post... sooo... also there are other different types of missles used but that's just one type that goes outside the atmosphere, most stay inside and tracks and "hunts" it down. |

Yes, in theory there are ways to intercept ICBM, however, none of these measueres have ever been proven to work in reality. In theory you can reach absolute zero, but it's a physical impossiblity (at least right now). Just becasue something is supposed to work a certain way, doesn't mean that it will. |

no it does work... atleast the ones off the coast of SC. cause they shown it in the news here... And if the missile is close enough but still out "overseas" we can shoot it. And yes that's been done before. |

Oh yes, cause news stations are sooo reliable. I'm not saying that it couldn't be done, but the systems that we have in place do not work. They are not guarenteed to shoot down a nuclear missle if launched at one, and do you want to put your life in the hands of that defense system. |

okay i was stating the new station, but if you want more proof i saw it but of course you dont believe that either. And yes it does work, how many times do i have to say they're have been test of us lauching missiles at ourselfs, on undetermined locals... and no one got killed did they??? of course the missile prolly had a self destruct in case it missed and yes im sorry your're right it did miss the first time... but that was because they forgot to turn it on... but after serveral test, and noting it does work it comes on automatically when something of that sort apears on radar. but yes it's flawed i know because what if it's a stealth missile, because we all know that the people who want to destory us have one of those too. so then our icbms launch and then so do the russians, chinas, and whomever has them and we all die... i guess i see you guys at the Golden Gates..... |

Heh, don't forget that our systems might shoot down our own missles. I'm not trying to say that we are defensless if we aren't, but we shouldn't not care about other countires using nukes just because we have a flawed defense system. |

Well I dont know when WWIII will be but I have no doubt of it happening - especially when people make something out of nothing. To quote spilt - " ... Follow our dreams as best we can ... hard not to be sad with all the crap going on in the world..." Imagine if you actually lived in Iraq or Israel - we are lucky that we live in societys were freedom of speach and thought is allowed. Do you really think that the innocent people of those war effected countries want to live their lifes like that? Yes they are sad times but for the majority of people in the Western World we dont have to worry about anything it will be years before (if and when) our lives get affected from War. I personally hope that Australia wisens up and pulls out of Iraq instead of following Bush's lead like a puppy following its master. We need to be able to stand up for what OUR country wants - not what America wants. |

yes iraq was part of it u cant just stop with saddam hussien u have to get them all i would love for peace on earth but unfortunately we have to fight for it yes bush made a mistake that cost us alot of lives but hes tryin to fix it give him that clinton wouldnt have even tried to fix it bush is doin the best he can i wish we could have a leader like him every term |
