The Canadian Supreme Court as JUST approved same-sex Marrage, okay this is sometime going to be comming to the US. so what do you guys thinks. i have my own views i wanna hear what you just think... this should be interesting --fsr

Yes canada does have their owns laws cause it's a different country. What say do you, or anyother person, have over what to people do with their life and how they life it? As long as it's not hurting anyone else. which gay marriage doesn't. Even though im Roman Catholic, and as we all know the Pope of course, heh, who has the "first" say over gay marrige, says NO! I'm what i would call a new-age catholic, where my personal experinces affect my views on certain things this just happens to be one of them. Gay Marriage is fine with me, there's nothing wrong with it, two people, hell let's do this, two Americans happliy in-love with eachother. they know what they want, more than anyone else. If it is with a person of the same-sex then so be it. I have plenty of friends, mostly my mom's co-workers, but some school mates, and old-friends from up-north, that are gay. i have no problem with it, it's not like being around them will turn me gay, or somewhere down the line im going to contract hiv from being around them. i love my woman. being around them isn't going to change my mind. And since i have more than several friends that are gay, i want to see them happy as well as myself. them marrying eachother isn't going to hurt you. And it's someithng to be proud of. You should always be proud of who you are. why shouldn't you be proud? and yes as long as that crazy person is in office we wont because his little religous ass will always vote againist it, hell even if kerry got elected he would vote no because of course he wants to stay in office again. and if he voted yes the catholics would never vote for him. and that's enough votes to cost him the election. you just sound like your againist all gay people. and really as long as your tested and have never been with any one else, you can't get hiv it's just like fe/male relationship. just bc the same sexs gets together doesn't automatically make hiv. i guest i'll let someone else post lmao. sorry if it sounds a little discombobulated, im just a little exciteds about skool, lol --fsr

If they spend their lives together and one passes away the other will not get the house or any property as the government does not recongise their relationship. The comment about aids is just wrong. Straight men and women can just as easily spread disease. There is a litttle invention called protection and i think we all know what i mean so i dont have to go into detail without saying that all men and women have common sense and know when to use it. The fault and emphasis should not be placed upon gay people. If australia recongised gay marriages we would be a much better , freer place. Tasmania has a registry for gay couples but what does that get you in the court of law? Nothing. Thats me done, Ciao, Lauren

Yea that totally sucks. well you know how a couple states in the US has allowed gay marriage, correct? well there's this little piece of paper written by some old dead dudes, that founded this nation, called the Consitution!!!! and in there it says that all LEGAL documents, certificates, currency that is recongized in one state shall be recongized in another. This is how is you're born in one state your birth-cert. is good in another, or if you marry someone it's good in another. OMG!!! what did i just say? yes marry someone! so guest what even though it's not a federal law technically speaking because of the consitution. Gay marriages are allready legal. (again technically) that doesn't mean that insurance co. and the such have to recongize it if you move but the state sure does, lol. there's allways a loop hole ;) and about the AIDS im just going to post this again. Posted Image Also protection isn't 100% safe but it's 99.9% and its a darn good start. The best, 100% way is not having sex. but that's no fun right? so why not you and your partner get tested for aids. that's a darn good way too. --fsr

I have 4 Gay freidns, they are each dating each other. They are also active, you know what i mean, and they use protection so it doesn't mean that being gay is a great way to spread Aids/HIV. As for my religious standpont. I am a christion. though i don't say NO GAY! I leave that decision for each person.

In todays society everyone knows about aids (and other spreadable diseases) and everyone should be responisable for their own protection. Blame can not be placed on one section of society for an issue that effects almost everyone.
