Posts: 3,691 Group: Admin Member #18 Joined: November 15, 2004	;) i always wander this which one is more dangerous to a child visual or audio. people blame music artist for corrupting their kids. saying kids are listening to their music and people are getting more in to their music. which we know that music you hear, but music video like seeing naked women and sex images. which an music cd you can't see only hear. which one is more deadly. visiual or audio we just need to know one thing we can turn it off.

Posts: 2,895 Group: Members Member #8 Joined: November 11, 2004	Do you mean like which would kill the kid? just by watching it or the kid will kill some one by watching thus the visual/audio is "telling" the kid to kill? for me i pick neither, it's how you brought up if listening, watching, a marlyn manson thing makes you wanna have sex or kill someone you need help, i mean come on it's artistic expresson!!! if you dont like it dont watch or listen to it. and if you dont want your kids listening to it tell them dont watch it. or watch it with them and tell them that it's not righth to do that and explain whats going on and why he choose to express that. i remeber watch bowling for columbine. where manson was interviewed, he a realy nice fellow! well he said just what i said it's his artistic expression and if you dont want to listen/watch it "TURN IT THE F**K OFF" --fsr "cookies and creme"

Posts: 2,895 Group: Members Member #8 Joined: November 11, 2004	exactly, your parents or parent-like figure in your life should have told you right from wrong!! after watching something like Rambo, or playing resident evil or and yes im going to say it, GRAND THEIF AUTO, lol :D (i love this example) does NOT MAKE me want to go out and start buying ak-47 and start killing people. jeesss people its a freakin game dont buy it for your kids. they are RATED for a reason. and dont order mtv if you dont want to have your kids watching naked wemon. you have the power to see what your kids do. i remember, i was about 6 or 7 or 8 when i saw jurassic park, and before i saw it my mother said it's all fake it's just a movie, and i was like NO DUH!!!, and my mother explained that some kids my age were scared and thought it was real, but i've been watching "scary movies" since a young age (not too young though) and nothing is wrong with me. if anything it helps cause i know what's right and whats wrong and what NOT to do. And it really helps your imagination. i mean come on when a kid is 8, is when his/her imagination is at it's highest so why not feed it? as long as you explain and keep telling them it's not real and whats right/wrong. just like taching them to say smoking, drinking, drugs is wrong! Posts: 1,750 Group: Members Member #33 Joined: December 11, 2004	i would have to say audio and visual - but ultimaltely i think it would have to envolve the family moral situation. I.e if your parents use swear words as every second word in a sentence when a child is developing they wont realise that it is socially wrong and so they wont have the moral development that society maintains. At all times audio and visual can be turned off but if there is a more powerful force (parents/siblings) controlling these it does become a difficult situation. I think it would depend on the situation but neither is worse than the other. Psych studies have shown that children dont view bad images as adults percieve them to so yeah.... i have confused myself!!! lol basically they are the same - neither is worse or 'badder' than the other.
