Posts: 2,895 Group: Members Member #8 Joined: November 11, 2004	correct prayer doesn't hurt anyone else. until some holyroller ass makes everyone else get in on the prayer then it does affect EVERYONE. i remember my 2nd grade teacher invoked her beliefs on us by making us say a prayer before we ate our snack everyday. which i didn't mind cause i thought she was crazy and we also got free food so it was find with me. lol. Also doesn't anyone remember this little thing in the constitution that says 'SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE' this means you can't do prayer in or on government grounds which is really what the ban is proposing. that's how it all got started some tacher decides to have prayer in class and kid whines, asking "who is god? and will i go to hell if i do not believe." to his mother and father and BOOM this whole thing happens. so it's really a matter of mind your own freakin' business and stay to your freakin' self when it comes to religious beliefs. Maybe we should send a copy of the constitution to these people and all of our politicians. now of course if your praying to yourself then it shouldn't really matter cause your saying it in your head but if you start getting all worked up and start bothering othre people then that's something else. -fsr

This was at a public skool in PG county maryland. that's what shouldn't be hence separtation of church and state. i would kill myself if i went to catholic skool teachers are rude and nuns so you can't cuss them out and you have stricter rules, my aunt went to one so i know. -fsr

Posts: 2,895 Group: Members Member #8 Joined: November 11, 2004	well the seperation of chruch and state was to prevent us from turning into England back in the day. that's why we fled to this brave new world. to get away from the religous presure and influence it had on the government. so to keep that from happening they, the founding fathers, put that in there. as a saftey net. but saying that shouldn't be in the constitution is wrong because our government would be more worse off. But like you said praying at a foseball game or something like that should be fine and is legal. i know i pray to god i get a strike every time i step up to bowl and so far it's been doin' good. of course i say it to myself in my head and noboady knows im doing it. But heck I also talk to my ball when i get mad at it. -fsr

Posts: 2,895 Group: Members Member #8 Joined: November 11, 2004	OMG you guys must have skip a day in American History America has allready done that!!!!! separation of chruch and state, allthough mistaken for other documents suchas the declaration. which is not a legal document Plus you can't invoke your belives onto anyway unwilling or on Public grounds, courthouses, schools, police stations, basically anywhere government owned.
