WoW = World of Warcraft

I just got a beta code for it from Gamespy, downloading the game now.

Anyone else signed up for it?

I signed up for it. I already have it downloaded and played a bit, although I'm probably going to make a Druid (was playing a Undead Warlock originally). I've been really enjoying the game from what I've played so far, I'm actually thinking of playing WoW over EQ2 currently.

For those who aren't FP subscribers, you should be able to sign up on Monday for open beta, since FP was said to have a 1 week head start. It is a great MMORPG, and doesn't take a powerful computer to run well.

What a pity. I'd love to try it, since I'm a big WarCraft Fan, but my Computer is just to lame. It has been made in 1999, that's why... d^_^b.

I love Warcraft 3 on battle net. Do you Guys have an account and a Nick Name in Battlenet? Maybe we can meet up! Just need to find a Time, since I'm living in Eruope!

I'm gonna kick butt with the NightElves!

I'd be unable to play it even if I did. Besides, I'd rather sign up for Guild Wars.

Even with an old computer you may be able to play it, the requirements on WoW are extremely low. Here is from the official site:
Quote:

Windows® System/OS:

- PIII or AMD Athlon 800 Mhz or higher.
- 256 Megabytes or more of RAM.
- GeForce 2 graphics card or better.
- 3.3 Gigabytes or more of available hard drive space.
- DirectX® 9.0c or above.

Mac® System/OS:

- 1.0 GHz or higher, G4 or G5 processor.
- 512 Megabytes RAM or higher. DDR RAM recommended.
- ATI or NVIDIA video hardware with 64 MB VRAM or more.
- 3.3 Gigabytes or more of available hard drive space.
- MacOS X 10.3 ("Panther") or better.

The game has very low requirements for how good it looks and plays.

As long as my Diablo 2 account (Tettsuro) hasn't run out yet I have a battle.net account, or if the WoW ST account (DeadEnd) also works for battle.net I can use that, but haven't tried it anywhere else. I haven't played WC3 in a long time, but I'm not really a big fan of RTS games.

RTS stands for real time strategy. Basically any game similar to Warcraft where you have to manage units and resources and build up power to take out the opponent.
