Well, I started playing Street Fighter 1 when I was younger at the Mall here. I always wondered what the characters on the screen meant. From there, my friend got me involved in Animé. After that, I started listening to Japanese music. I met a lot of Japanese friends, talk to some online as well. It's part of my life now. |

I've been living here since 8/91. My roommates in University were Japanese so I decided to try out Japan after graduation. Now have a Japanese wife and son. I can speak some but the reading and writing (especially Kanji) is difficult (maybe impossible) for me. I'll always be learning. |

Since i heard the first time japanese actors speaking (about five years ago), i always wanted to understand this exotic and very cool sounding language. Unfortunately i haven´t enough money to learn it, and i don´t know japanese people... Just had once a crash lesson in japanese. mata ne, mittsu medama (dpn´t know if it´s correct...) |

Cause i'm half Japanese (half German, same as Hitomi lol), and i thought it would be a nice language to learn. I actually enjoyed learning it in High School, so i'm pursuing it in college. Plus, i want to actually go to Japan, so its best if i know the language first a bit before travelling. |

Embarassing as it may seem i'm currently learning Japanese from my own niece who is only 9 at the moment. She is part Jap/Taiwanese/Malaysian:pinch: I'll show u a pic of her if i get the chance. But in all honesty how well versed or fluent each of u are in the language. Like Ayane, can u read the Famitsu magazine u always get every month? |
