I don't have a Gamecube, but I've never really looked at it. I only own an Xbox right now and am very happy with it, but I'm curious about the Gamecube. One game that I know I'll enjoy is Ikaruga because I had it on Dreamcast. I enjoy RPGs mostly and fighting games as well, some other genres too.

For those who have Gamecubes, why did you buy yours over another console?

Thanks

Gamecubes smallest. cheapest and medium based on power. It has decent games and it isnt just for kids despite what you hear from all those stereotypical ummmmm...gits that have been brainwashed by Sony.

- It's got Resident Evil B) and most of the time whenever I go to a party, there's always a GC there and we end up playing Super Smash Brothers or Animal Crossing (GC has good party games) ;)

Pretty much because it's so in-between....
I'm not such a fan of the X-box since it's all Microsoft... Though Mr. Gates' a cool guy :D
Nah, but for my tastes the X-box has too little good games... I mean, I like DoA3, and... that's pretty much it.... Okay, okay, so I like Capcom vs SNK2 EO and Soul Calibur 2, but I can get those on Gamecube as well.
And the Gamecube offers:

- Nice party games for many people to enjoy
- Some cool games made by Nintendo that simply cannot be copied (Metroid Prime's awesome)
- Not much RPG's, but at least they ARE pretty old-school
- Yupp.... Resident Evil... (Well, PS2 has Silent Hill)
- Some other favourites
- It has (well in a while anyway) the 'MEGAMAN COLLECTION DISC' Ohh YEAH!
- Connectivity with the GBA, must be the best thing... GBA rules
- Final Fantasy Christal Chronicles
- The LEAST realistic games. I don't like MOST (not all) realistic games, since I wanna do things in games REALLY not possible (well, a war isn't possible, but still it's too realistic, so no Battlefield, Medal of Honor whatsoever for me...)
