"Looks like it should be around here somewhere," Chet said, glancing at his Digivice while gliding through the air on Crisisdramon's back. He peered over the cyborg dragon's shoulder, trying to get a good look at the ground in the early morning light. "Down there," Crisisdramon said, pointing downward. Below them, a teenager on what appeared to be a motorbike was chasing down what appeared to be a kid in a red cape. "That motorcycle guy again," Chet noted. He squinted down at the biker's quarry. "What's he chasing? Looks like some kid." "I'm sure it's a Digimon," Crisisdramon replied, glancing back at Chet. "I can smell the Raezu* from here." "I'm not getting any data," Chet said, looking at his Digivice again. "But I'm pretty sure you're right." "What say we get back at him for trying to snipe us so many times?" Crisisdramon suggested with a wicked grin. "Yeah, let's get the drop on him this time," Chet said, sharing his Digimon's smile. Crisisdramon's hands cupped below them, and green energy built up in the space provided. As green light reflected off the cyborg dragon's metal arms, the hands opened and dropped the energy ball with a call of, "DRAGRONADE!" Below, Dan was starting to close in on Summon. Motomon's wheels were considerably faster than his foot-based quarry. However, their focus was broken with the above call. Before they knew it, a glowing, green bomb descended between them and the summoner Digimon. Motomon swerved, screeching to a halt as Dan put up an arm to block his already helmet-shaded eyes from the ensuing flash. He could hear Summon call out and tumble ahead of him as the actual force knocked the magic Rookie off his feet. "Well, I guess I can forget about having children," Dan remarked, wiping green dust off the sleeve of his suit jacket. He looked up and saw a cybernetic dragon land in front of him. The DigiOperative took off his helmet and Chet hopped off Crisisdramon's back. "Weaver." "MacCool," Chet returned, the evident ire in his voice a contrast to his fellow Tamer's matter-of-fact statement. "Motomon," Crisisdramon said, mocking her Tamer's ire. Motomon narrowed his eye at Crisisdramon. After a moment of silence, Dan filled in, saying out of the corner of his mouth with a higher pitch, "Crisisdramon." "A bit early for a shopping trip, isn't it?" Dan said, speaking for himself sometime. "I don't think the mall itself opens for another five hours." ((*Raezu is a quantum particle from the anime Noien, which also deals with alternate realities.)) |

Angela landed beside of Chet holding on to Boogeymon by the neck as her partner allowed her to stand up freely once again. She stared at Dan with high suspicion as she looked over to see Growlmon X, an enemy of hers, fighting a large rhinoceros-like Digimon. Angela gently jabbed gently jabbed Boogeymon in the side pointing over to Growlmon X. “Delphiana Cons is probably over there hiding behind a building or something,” Angela reminded him with a cruel snicker. Both Angela and her partner hated the way Delphiana treated Growlmon X, and the way both of them tried to snatch Boogeymon away from Angela. Those two were nothing but trouble for Angela and Boogeymon. “So…who is this?” Angela asked Chet as she stepped over to his left side. “He seems…er…friendly.” “Dat motor-thing is in for it, Ang,” Boogeymon growled fluttering behind her. “Get your Blue Card out. I think I need to digivolve.” “Wait; let us see what they want. Obviously, they were traveling with Delphiana, which means trouble right from the start,” Angela murmured to Boogeymon barely taking her eyes off Dan and Motomon. “What do you want?” she asked Dan in a stern voice. “If ya want trouble, ya got it!” Boogeymon warned Motomon stepping outwards to face the motorcycle. |

"Friend of yours, Weaver?" Dan said, glancing over at Angela and Boogeymon for a moment. "I must say, you've been quite an awkward social butterfly since you got that lizard. Chicks dig dragons, am I right?" Behind them, Summon was beginning to recover from the blast. He looked up and saw a pair of winged creatures standing between him and his pursuer. He was awestruck, particularly by the red-haired cyborg dragon. "Wow, I've never seen that Digimon before," Summon exclaimed. He hopped up and approached Crisisdramon. "What are you? Some new type? You must be a Machine Dragon, right?" "What?" Crisisdramon asked, twisting around to see the little wizard. "Um, I'm Crisisdramon. And what are you? You're awfully young to be a Wizardmon." "He's Summon," Dan interrupted. "I've never even heard of one until today, but if the Monochromon my associate is tangling with right now is any indication, he's of strategic importance to the invaders. I don't think it takes much imagination to guess what he's here to do, and I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with mathematics." "But, he couldn't be higher than Rookie," Chet said, glancing back at Summon. "Could he seriously be that dangerous?" "I can't take that chance," Dan said insistently. "I have to take him back to HQ for analysis before I can be certain. Besides, it's not like you weren't planning on destroying him yourself before you got here." "You can't just round him up like cattle!" Chet argued, glaring at Dan. "If you go around scaring him, you'll only make the situation..." Summon suddenly cried out fearfully. Chet turned back around to see him staggering away from Crisisdramon and pointing at the emblem on the cyborg dragon's chest. "The Digital Hazard!" Summon exclaimed. He turned and fled into the parking lot. "A sign of ill portent! I gotta get out of here!" "Ill what?" Chet noted. "Darn it!" Dan swore. Motomon turned on one wheel and sped off after the Rookie, with Dan still riding. "Thanks for nothing, Weaver!" "Hey!" Chet exclaimed. "I've still got something to say to you!" "I got him!" Crisisdramon called out, slamming a metal fist into the ground and sending an explosive shock wave towards Motomon. "CRISIS BREAKER!" Dan ducked as Motomon veered left to allow the shock wave to go past. Summon noticed the attack as well, and turned sharply to his right to avoid it and kept running. Motomon turned wide to the left in a circle, attempting to build up momentum to clear the trench caused by the attack. Point Tally: Crisisdramon: 30 Digivolve to Champion: -2 Crisis Breaker: -1 (1 to dodge) End Tally: 27 Motomon: 30 (inter-battle reset) Dodge: -1 End Tally: 29 Summon: 30 Dodge: -1 End Tally: 29 |

“What is with all of you guys? All you all do is fight!” Angela screamed tossing a rock at Motomon and Dan. “This is not fair!” “Want me to fight?” Boogeymon asked flying beside Angela with a look of concern. “Only if you want to. They cannot just take away that poor little Digimon like that!” Angela said putting an arm of support on Boogeymon’s shoulder. “Please, do not get hurt. That is all I am asking of you.” “I will do my best, Ang,” Boogeymon said flying up drawing his three-pronged triton aiming it at Motomon. “Death Clash!” he screamed flying full force at the motorbike with anger burning in his eyes. “Come on, Boogeymon!” Angela said moving closer to the battle. “Are you alright, Summon?” she asked the small wizard with worry. Angela watched Boogeymon closely to make sure that if he needed any help, she could help him. Drawing her deck, she readied the Blue Card so Boogeymon could digivolve to his Ultimate form if needed. “Come on…I know you can do this!” she shouted to Boogeymon burning with complete faith in her partner. Boogeymon thought to himself and to Angela, If we keep fighting like this, Summon will never trust us! Angela received Boogeymon’s telepathic message and replied, I know, but we have to do something. Poor Summon…I wonder if he will ever be able to digivolve. Boogeymon sent back another thought, He might, but we can’t be so sure. Aye, Angela replied watching to see if the Death Clash would be successful. >Boogeymon: 30 >>Champion: -1 >>Death Clash: -1 >>End Tally: 28 |

"BURN RUBBER!" Motomon's tires were set aflame just as he hit a piece of upturned asphalt and was sent into the air. Dan pulled back on Motomon's handlebars to gain more hang time as they met Boogeymon mid-flight. Sparks flew as Motomon took the attack, Boogeymon's trident scraping against his undercarriage. The hit was nastier than it looked, as the Dark energy from the attack penetrated further than the physical trident did. Motomon was actually stunned for a moment, as Dan had to negotiate the landing on his own, so he couldn't tell if his Burn Rubber attack hit or not. Motomon regained his senses as his wheels met the asphalt and he sped towards Summon again. However, Crisisdramon flew into his path. Dan had his D-Power clipped to the inside of his jacket, so he only needed one hand to slash a card with. "DigiModify!" Dan declared. "Garurumon's Howling Blaster, activate!" Motomon's eye shown blue for a moment before firing off a blast of icy blue flame. Crisisdramon had to dive out of the way to avoid the attack, allowing the motorcycle Digimon to zoom right by. The attack kept going, forcing Summon to throw himself to the ground to avoid being hit. As Summon got to his feet again, Motomon closed in with Dan reaching out to grab him on the pass... Point Tally: Motomon: 29 Burn Rubber: 0 Howling Blaster: -1 End Tally: 28 Crisisdramon: 27 Dodge: -1 End Tally: 26 Summon: 29 Dodge: -1 End Tally: 28 |

"Spiking Strike!" shouted a distant voice. "Huh?!" said Dan as he turned his attention from Summon, who then jumped out of Motomon's path. As Dan turned his head, a shadowy figure zipped by lightning-fast. Dan saw an explosion on the side of Motomon, and was on the ground two seconds later. "What was that?" Dan said. "Me," said a voice. Dan rolled over to see a Stingmon standing 25 feet away. "I am Venom, this is my partner, Brendan," he said as a kid walked out from behind him. "Look out!" yelled Dan. Venom grabbed Brendan and jumped out of the way just in time to dodge a Dragonade attack from Crisisdramon. "Why are you here?" Dan asked Brendan. "An evil tamer named Mitch is attempting to use Summon to increase his own power, we are protecting Summon from him." "Want some help with that?" Dan asked. "Much obliged," replied Brendan Venom:30 Spiking Strike:-1 Dodge:-1 Champion:-1 End Tally:27 Crsisdramon:26 Dragonade:-1 End Tally:25 Summon:28 Dodge:-1 End Tally:27 |

Boogeymon groaned as he received a minor bit of damage while he collided with Motomon. He dusted off his trident and returned to his normal position as his eyes watched the motorbike extremely carefully. “Boogeymon, are you alright?” Angela asked coming closer to her beloved partner with concern. “Ang, stay back. Ya might get hurt,” Boogeymon warned not even turning around to look at Angela. Angela nodded sadly stepping back looking through her deck for something to help her partner. “Digimodify! Metal Attack Activate!” Angela cried out swiping a card that appealed to her. Boogeymon’s attack Death Clash suddenly changed its type from Dark to Metal with a 50% boost. “Alright! Ruby Eye!” he screamed as his eyes gleamed a bright red and shot out at Motomon with a boost in power. “How is that one, Boogeymon?” Angela asked her partner from afar. “Good one!” Boogeymon praised Angela with a warm smile. >Boogeymon: 28 >>Metal Attack: -1 >>Death Clash: -1 >>End Tally: 26 |

((Completely arbitrary and temporary ruling: When someone uses your character without permission, you get 5 DigiPoints. Just compensation or power abuse? You decide!)) "Crisisdramon, what are you doing?" Chet demanded, his Digivice-holding hand against his hip. "We don't even know which side he's on yet!" "My aim was off," Crisisdramon replied, gliding around Chet before heading back into the fray. "So sue me." Meanwhile, Dan hopped back onto Motomon and quickly zoomed away from them, leaving Brendan and Venom to deal with the incoming Ruby Eye attack. The black-clad DigiOperatives were swerving around for yet another pass at Summon. At about this time, the magic Rookie glanced back and saw the cloud of data rising up from the Northern side of the mall. "Monochromon, no..." Summon said. He had no time to be sad, though, as he just realized he was minus one protector. "As good a time as any to see if this works..." Summon stopped running and quickly looked around. Spotting a tree, he ran closer to it and aimed his staff. "EQUIVALENT EXCHANGE!" Summon called out. A purple-ringed portal appeared beneath the tree on the ground, causing the large plant to sink into it. At the same time, another portal opened behind Summon and a dense fog quickly filled the area. Out of the portal stepped a robot made of wood. It didn't appear to have a proper head, though the dome on its shoulders was raised to reveal yellow eyes, and there appeared to be sharp teeth seen through the hole in its chest. "Alright! Arbormon!" "Wut da?" Arbormon exclaimed. "Is dis Oith? It's a lot foggia den I imagined." "You gotta help me, Arbormon!" Summon cried out. "There's all these guys after me, and Monochromon got deleted, and there's a Digital Hazard here, and... and..." "Whoa, slow down, kid," Arbormon interrupted, putting a hand on Summon's shoulder. "I got it, alright? How many of dem are dere? Just then, Dan and Motomon drove into view and stopped once they saw Arbormon. Crisisdramon soon flew in, followed by Chet on foot. "It just had to be a Hybrid," Dan griped. "Guess he's not called Summon for nothing," Chet remarked. "Okay, I got dis," Arbormon said as he stepped forward. "You run an' hide somewhere. You got dat?" "Good luck," Summon said with a nod. "There's three more of them. Maybe a fourth." "Dem's my favorites kinds of odds," Arbormon noted as Summon ran off. He slammed a fist into his palm. "Now, which one of youse wants I should kick their behinds foist?" "He's all yours," Chet said. "I'm not the one hunting Summon." "For Pete's sake..." Dan groaned. He got out his black and white D-Power and slashed a card through. "Digi-Modify! Birdramon's Meteor Wing, activate!" Dan quickly grabbed hold of Motomon's handle bars as his wheels burst into flame yet again. Instead of charging forward as usual, Motomon spun in a circle, throwing fireballs at the Warrior of Wood. Arbormon leapt into the air to avoid the attack, launching himself in Dan's direction. "ROUNDHOUSE PUNT!" Arbormon declared, swinging a leg at Dan and Motomon. The foot came off, connected by a cable as it whipped towards them. Dan ducked down as Motomon zoomed forward. Arbormon landed behind them as his foot snapped back into place. "Hey!" he added, turning around quickly. "You ain't gettin' by me dat easily!" Point Tally: Motomon: 29 Getting God-moded: +5 Dodge: -1 Meteor Wing: -1 Dodge: -1 End Tally: 31 Crisisdramon: 25 Getting God-moded: +5 Do nothing: +5 End Tally: 35 Summon: 27 Getting God-moded: +5 Equivalent Exchange: -2 End Tally: 30 Arbormon: 30 Start at Champion: -2 Dodge: -1 Roundhouse Punt: -1 End Tally: 28 |

“Dang…we missed him, Boogeymon, and worst of all—Summon thinks we are going to hurt him!” Angela complained to her partner who was staring angrily at Dan. “Dis is all your fault! Ya had to go and chase after Summon! I will handle this one,” Boogeymon grumbled flying just a few feet away from Summon. “Look, Ang and I don’t wanna hurt ya. M’kay? We are tryin’ to protect ya. Motomon is the enemy. Don’t look at me!” Boogeymon attempted to explain residing from attacking this turn, even with the Metal Attack still in effect. “Don’t forget to warn him about Growlmon X…er…Wargrowlmon X,” Angela reminded her friend looking over to see Wargrowlmon X. “Yeah, him too, Summon,” Boogeymon added with a small blush appearing at his already, crimson cheeks. >Boogeymon: 26 >>Doing Nothing: +5 >>End Tally: 31 |

"Lookout!" shouted Venom as he pushed his tamer out of the way of the on coming attack. "Oof!" said Brendan as he hit the ground, then looked up to see the Ruby Eye attack heading straight for Venom. Quickly pulling himself together and getting up off the ground, Brendan unclipped his green and black D-power and dug into his pocket, hoping to randomly draw a good card. He was relieved when he saw what he'd drawn. "Alright, let's do this, digimodify! Zudomon's Volcan Hammer activate!" Brendan shouted. A metallic hammer then appeared in Venom's palm. Using all his strength, he swung at the ray and deflected it. However, it did not fire back at Boogeymon, but at the newly appeared Arbormon, who until now, had been completely unnoticed by Venom. Seeing this, Venom said "There's too many of them, I need to Digivolve!" "Right," said Brendan drawing his blue card from his pocket. "Digimodify! Matrix digivolution, activate!" Venom began to glow bright white as a dark Green egg started to form around him. "Stingmon digivolves to.." Venom said as the egg enclosed his head. "DinoBeemon!" Venom yelled as the egg shattered to reveal an insect with features of a dragon. "Alright, let's do this!" Venom:27 Digivolving to ultimate:-2 Volcan Hamer:-1 End tally:24 |

Fast!” cried Angela as Boogeymon swerved sharply to avoid the Pummel-Whack attack heading straight for him. “Thanks,” Boogeymon said as Stingmon digivolved. “Now, before da Metal Attack wears out….and before I get deleted. Use da Blue Card!” “Yup! Digimodify Matrix Digivolution activate!” Angela screamed above Boogeymon’s shouting. “Boogeymon digivolves to…” Boogeymon screeched as his body was encased again in a similar bright light that made his body change into a much larger Digimon. “Phelesmon!” Dressed in black leather attire, which made him look much more like his Mega-level, Phelesmon appeared even stronger and much scarier. “Yes!” Angela shouted with joy. “Good luck!” “Thanks, Ang. Black Statue!” Phelesmon yelled changing his body into a stone-hard figure to attempt and hit Dinobeemon with the 50% bonus still in effect. ----- Delphiana arrived on the scene with Wargrowlmon X and slid off her enormous, android dinosaur to see Angela and Phelesmon. “It is them!” Delphiana boomed pointing at Angela. “I see, ‘em,” Wargrowlmon X said watching the demon-type with caution before turning to Orgemon. Atomic Megalo Blaster!” he cried shooting a laser from the cannons on his chest at the green monster. >Boogeymon: 31 >>Dodge: -1 >>Ultimate: -2 >>Black Statue: -2 >>End Tally: 26 >Wargrowlmon X: 30 >>Atomic Megalo Blaster: -2 >>End Tally: 28 |

Ogremon, still focused on Boogeymon, barely managed to avoid the full power of Wargrowlmon X's attack. The blast did, however, graze his arm, causing minor damage. "Ogremon, think you should digivolve?" asked Glen. "Hey, don't worry about it!" grinned Ogremon "I can handle this punk without digivolving... I think." "Well, don't think too hard alright?" "Easy enough." laughed Ogremon "Yah!" Ogremon lept in the air again and this time attacked Wargrowlmon X with his club. Point Tally: Points:27 Dodge:-3 Basic Attack:-0 End:24 |

Wargrowlmon X uttered a thundering roar as he swerved just in time to miss the attack coming from Orgemon. “Thought you were going to be smart, didn’t you?” the android rasped swinging his tail around so that he could face his opponent a little more clearly. “Digimodify! Angemon’s Hand of Fate activate!” Delphiana cried as she stared hard at Glen seeing the obvious bond between Glen and Orgemon. Delphiana grimaced and focused back on Wargrowlmon X with one eye on Phelesmon. All of a sudden, Wargrowlmon X’s equipped arm began to glow a bright, white light as he shot the beam out at Orgemon. “Take this!” he growled while attacking. End Tally: >Phelesmon: 26 >>Has Not Completed Turn >>End Tally: 26 >Wargrowlmon X: 28 >>Dodge: -1 >>Angemon’s Hand of Fate: -1 >>End Tally: 26 |

"Ogremon dodge and... hey what the???" Ogremon dove out of the way of the hand of fate, then took his attention off of Wargrowlmon X to see what was going on. "YAAAY, a friend!!!" shouted the little digimon made of stone that was "attacking" Glen. "A Gotsumon?" Ogremon wondered out loud "What's he doin' here?" "Search me," replied Glen "Hey Gotsumon, go with Ogremon, Okay?" "What do I do with the little guy?" Ogremon asked. "Just show him how dangerous this is and make sure he dosen't get hurt. If he runs, cover for him until he escapes. Now, ready to digivolve?" asked Glen, holding his blue card. "I thought you'd never ask," muttered Ogremon "Ogremon digivolve to... Minotarumon!" point tally: Minotarumon:24 Dodge:-3 Ultimate:-3 End:18 (( when I digivolved to champion back there, I had forgotten about my FTH:**** bonus, so my ultimate is 3 not 4, right?)) |
