Charlie Tango DX is a group dedicated to Hobby Radio Users in all forms, whether CB, Amateur, PMR446, Scanning and Short Wave Listening. We are a very active and friendly group that welcomes anyone from anywhere in the world who has an interest in Radio, regardless of their level of experience, their equipment, their location, or their radio preference. We have members varying from fully qualified operators on the Amateur Bands, to newcomers who have just bought a PMR446 set, and many CBers both old and new. All are equal on the Site. The CT Site contains many reviews, tips and modifications within the forums, and we take pride that no sensible question is ever left unanswered, and nobody is ever belittled or mocked for asking an honest question, no matter how simple it may seem. We were all new to the hobby once. You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. This means you are limited to certain areas of the board and there are some features you can't use. contacts for 1st july first of all let me tell you it was unbelievably cold windy and wet, when i got to where i was going thick fog but i decided to carry on none the less. not much to report on fm a few local radio reports. cheekycharlie at liverpool near football stadium r5/s9 26ct762 shaun mobile on his midland portapack r5/s9 thanks for coming back to me shaun and looking on the ct wbsite for me don't kinow what was wrong with phone but it wouldn't let me access the site |

Great CTX'ing Ronnie - the trek up there looked pretty grim, but the view from the station looked very impressive

Contact Report sunday 8th 2012 ch34uk well the rain held off and it was nice to spend some time with the wife with out the kids going dad dad  26-al-123 david from Barnsley 5/9 26-ct-483 craig always nice to talk to you and from home this time 5/7 26-sy-457 barnsley 5/7 26-bn-126 bob bolton 5/9 26-tm-297 denton and one pmr ch8 contact Shaun rottenstall did hear some ct from 163 and 108 but could not get back to them sorry thank you all  would like to apologise to 26-ct-820 Graeme for not putting him down on my contact as i did not get his callsign correct due to a local station over-riding him with "I can't hear anyone, who are you talking to?", so i do hope you understand and forgive me Graeme your signal r4+/s0 Edited by 26-CT-1096, 9 Jul 2012 - 10:54.

22/07/12 On the Sunday DX on Ch32  My location was Fan Brycheiniog, South Wales. OK132 - Matt, Wolverhampton (82 Miles) 163TM100 - Steve, South Wales CT847 Peter - Dorset (93 miles) Slim - Dan, Watchet Black Blazer - Andy, Leominster Landy Andy - Andy, Ashbourne (114 miles) CT141, Sid - Berkshire Downs (103 miles) CT035, John - Wootton Bassett GW15, Vic - Swindon KG58, Kevin - Berkshire Downs (103 miles) CT763, John - Buxton (121 miles and good R5) 163CT529, Sheridan - Milford Haven Hearing too much at times up there today, but also SWL'd CT652 Derby and CT014 (possibly Colin in 163 maybe?) On 446, Peter CT847 - 93 miles on 0.5w (a struggle, but the windy weather my way didn't help) |

Thanks for the contact Gary, you were a crystal clear R5 into Buxton, no problem at all. Glad to make the contact with Sid CT141 in Newbury too.  I could also hear Peter CT847 in Weymouth no problem. Just a shame we couldn't make the QSO. Edited by John123, 23 Jul 2012 - 12:18.

That's really good going Craig! You are further North from me and Sid could only just hear me and although I could hear Peter we were unable to make the contact. I was on later, due to me watching the Formula One. Hope to catch you next time Craig. 73s John. |
