First CT - CT contact on pmr today with Ronnie in Littleborough, about 72 miles I think from Minera mountain, Wrexham, great contact Ronnie, also worked on FM, even passed me through to Gary 104, nice to hear you again Gary, nice work mate, keep it up! Hope to be out portable next weekend but have a wedding on the sat, and I`m the official photographer so there will be some serious amounts of alcohol consumed during the day! Also worked Craig 483, normal and Bob! Really nice to be able to have a bit of a natter with Bob, hope you 2 are having a great weekend. John 737? I think? my bit of scrap paper is somewhere in the car, from near Buxton (John123 on here) booming as usual. A few more as well. Hope to catch a few more tomorrow. Al |

The Sunday DX was going head to head with the football today, so numbers were limited, but made some great contacts all the same Really pleased to get you in there again Al, but a shame a S point or two of QRM came in at around the same time as you did, but, when allowed, perfectly audible. Contact of the day for me though was Ronnie CT1096 running portable near Littleborough (around 120 miles) On top of the above there was CT763 John near Buxton who was an easy R5, 163CT336 Ian near Camarthen and 163CT529 Sheridan in Pembrokeshire (a lot of terrain between us so amazed to make a contact at all!). Also in the log: John CT35 - Wilts Andy AN77 - Glos Andy CT30 - N. Wales Sean OR09 - Dunstable Downs Phill Kingfisher - Chilterns Nick CT774 - Bristol Tony CT990 - Bath John MPT017 - Worcs Kevin RT076 - Stoke on Trent Barry GB62 - Glos Simon CT473 West Mids (PMR446) I was on the top of Twyn Llech (Black Mountain) on the England/Wales border 703 m (2,306 ft) using the Bazooka homebrew on a 10m pole with a Midland 98 radio. |

Thanks for the QSO John - you were an easy R5 to me I have at last located the log sheet from the Bank Holiday Monday CT Net Gary CT87 - Devon/Dorset/Somerset border - great help as usual on the net Jed RS7 - Glos Ian CT725 - Clee Hill Summit Andy CT30 - Worcs Nick CT774 - Bristol Dave CT052 - Dartmoor Mick CT592 - Kidderminster Martin 163FB001 - Swansea ZW20 - Dudley Colin 163CT014 - Anglesey Ronnie CT1096 - Halifax Tony CT990 - Bristol Karl 163CT026 - Swansea Ian CT439 - Dartmoor Andy CT2705 - W.Mids Ugly Bob CT065 Mids John CT035 - Wilts Glynn CT540 - W.S.M Andy WW02 - Dorset Dave CT145 - Wilts Ashley SWB28 - Forest of Dean Sid CT141 - Wilts Wayne CT148 - Berkshire I also SWL'd 26CT011, but was unable to get back. The above are the ones that made it into the net is some capacity - some just called in to say hello or request a rig check, but others stuck it out all the way through despite the odd QRM conditions on the day. Ian 725 and Gary 87 were able to expand the net north and south, even though some of the stations were out of my RX. Typical Bank Holiday Monday weather |

A bit late (broke mobile modem, now soldered and working) but here comes my report: 26 CT 30 / Andy Very nice QSO indeed, I guess I can say my virgin is now broken ![]() Very good signal, 9+ and very nice audio and of course, a very nice talk Though I do think we've had contact some time ago (last summer?) and another 26 (can't remember the name now) and actually I think I had a QSO with that same person the very same day as with 26 CT 30 even this time. But it's the first time as being a "Charlie Tango", very nice indeed. Hoping for more contacts. Regards Joakim / 21 CT 102 |

20/05/12 - CH32 Sunday-Net 26CT30 Andy Malvern Hills 5/9 26CT104 Gary Exmoor 26BH04 Shaftesbury Dorset I could only just QSO with Gary and 26BH04. You were in the back of the box, but chuffed to make the contact. It's a fair distance to me in Buxton, Derbyshire. CH34 104CT011 Roy - Corsica Really pleased to make the contact, Roy. This is by far and away the furthest I've got on the UK40. I was getting QRM and QSB when I got through to you, but you were 5/9 when I first made contact. |
