Charlie Tango DX is a group dedicated to Hobby Radio Users in all forms, whether CB, Amateur, PMR446, Scanning and Short Wave Listening.
We are a very active and friendly group that welcomes anyone from anywhere in the world who has an interest in Radio, regardless of their level of experience, their equipment, their location, or their radio preference. We have members varying from fully qualified operators on the Amateur Bands, to newcomers who have just bought a PMR446 set, and many CBers both old and new. All are equal on the Site.

The CT Site contains many reviews, tips and modifications within the forums, and we take pride that no sensible question is ever left unanswered, and nobody is ever belittled or mocked for asking an honest question, no matter how simple it may seem. We were all new to the hobby once.

You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. This means you are limited to certain areas of the board and there are some features you can't use. If you join Charlie Tango you'll be able to access member-only ections, and use member-only features such as customizing your profile, sending personal messages, voting in polls, viewing modifications and more.

Your application will need to include your personal name and approximate location, it will require you to confirm your email, and then be signed-off by one of our Admin Staff, but this is usually completed within 24 hours (48 max)

CT Market Place Rules

PM System WARNING - If you are replying to a Market Place Post (especially to BUY an item), you should remember that the PM system is notoriously unreliable. The PM system can be very slow and, occasionally, random messages can be delayed for no apparent reason, or even disappear. So your PM might be delayed, while someone else's PM Message, sent AFTER yours, might go straight through to the Seller. This is a System issue and there is nothing that that we, the Admin and Staff, can do about it. The ONLY sure way to make sure your interest in an item is recorded and noted at the right time is to respond in the Thread. Make an informative Post: Don't just Post "PM Sent", instead Post, "I'd like to buy it a that price please. PM Sent" or “Offer sent via PM” or similar.

There is no charge made for use of the Charlie Tango Market Place. But Members may wish to consider making a small donation following a successful sale.

1] This facility is provided for the Personal Sales by CT Members only, Guests may not use the Market Place. Business, Commercial and Company Adverts are not permitted in The Market Place without prior approval from the CT Admin Team.
2] Members are limited to no more than TWO current Active Listings per Forum at any one time. But any listing may contain multiple items. This is to prevent one member "swamping" the For Sale area with numerous posts.
3] Comments, opinions and other posting NOT directly related to the Transaction or Valuation are not to be posted on a Market Place Thread and will be removed. Any such comments ("Nice set!", "Good price", "I had one of these" etc.) should be sent to the Seller using the PM System.
4] All items offered For Sale must include a Price. Items may not be listed as only as for "Offers".
5] The main For Sale section is to be used for RADIO and SHACK-RELATED items ONLY. Non-radio items may be offered for sale, but must use the non-Radio Section.
6] Members who have Radio items for sale on Ebay may advertise here and may include a link to their Ebay listing. But Charlie Tango Market Place Posts must include a Buy-it-Now price and an item description. Posts may not just comprise an Ebay link. Links to eBay Auctions-Only listings, without a fixed price for CT Members, are not permitted as the item cannot be purchased immediately.
7] Items or requests listed on The Market Place are liable be moved to the "Sold / Closed" sub-forum after one month of no activity. Listings can be kept "Live" by using "Bump" but this should not be used simply to keep a listing at the top of the Thread

Save on Paypal and Ebay Fees by using this forum and buy from trusted operators who look after their kit! Items are liable to be moved to the CLOSED sub-forum after one month / six weeks of no new postings. Use Bump if you want to keep the item live but please don't bump just to go above another Member's listing, or use Bump on a daily basis. Market: VALUE? What's it Worth?Got some kit that you're thinking of selling, but don't know what price to put on it? Post the details here and have the Members offer their opinions. Making an Offer in response to a "What are these worth?" Post is NOT Permitted. Any such Post will be liable to be deleted.
