so, I was thinking. It seemed like most of the original appeal of this place was the users ability change posts, mess them up, etc. If I am correct, the user count went down when people started to really be unable to mess up posts, etc. This place became kinda like wikipedia, where, although you can destroy the post, it gets fixed right away, and you get banned. The fun of messing with wikipedia isn't there, because no one actually sees what you have done. This reduced the popularity, because it turned into another regular forum, of which there are thousands upon thousands out there. The appeal was lost. What if the regulations were loosened? Or what if certain sections of the forum could be designated as things you could spam up, and mess with other people's topics? This is just a thought, I don't really know if it would work. |

What would be the point if everything was messed up? The activity mostly left, actually, when I stopped advertising. Most of the people we got AFTER that were just here to mess things up, but before that we got a few good members, like the 5 or 6 still around, and a bunch more. |
