It also confirmed that the email notification is working correctly, as I got a subscription notification from my own forum for the first time when you posted in one of the topics. BTW: I'd like to know if I can set up my Web site's domain on my forum also, so that one could reach my forum via http://www.bigjsdomain.com/forum. |

One questions, why do you use freewebs besides that they host for free, and that you use thier template. Just wondering btw, and also tell if you dont got any other reasons or something. I like your bot I also might join your forum. |

Well, I'm not really very fluent in HTML, and I wanted a free Web site, I found Freewebs while Google searching for "Free Web site". I like Freewebs OK. They don't give a person much hosting space, but there are plenty of free file hosts out there. After I got my site, I wanted to get a domain name, so I bought one. I can afford $20 per year, so it's not a huge expense. Speaking of money, registered Game Maker is the best $20 I ever spent! |

well you would have to start your forum over and use a free one like phpbb (or what i would recomend is phpbb fully modded) but you can make it so ithat if you type in http://www.bigjsdomain.com/forum it redirects you to the forum and you can make this redirecting thing in cpanel but aparently you dont have that do you ahve ftp? you should probaly get a new host |

You mean not host it with Freewebs? How is that even possible? I'm not fluent in HTML, and the templates can only be used on a Freewebs site. What about the editing tools? |

you shoudl not use a template and there are plenty of free site builders and html is hte easyest language out there also i can help you (if you trust me) |

I really don't know how to move a Web site to a different host. Getting my domain name was a hassle, and I finally got it to be on my site, after over a 3 months of trying to figure out how to set it up. First, it was the fact that the nameservers were set incorrectly, then it complained that my domain name wasn't attached to my account. I attempted to transfer it. I was told that new domain names cannot be transferred, and to wait 90 days! So I waited 3 months. Then, I attempted the transfer again. I got "ClientDeleteProhibited" and a few other error-like messages, and I flipped. I sent a newbish message to tech support asking how I can transfer my domain name, and they said transferring shouldn't be necessary, and to simply make sure I set my nameservers correctly. I told them I already did that, and it doesn't work. I insisted on transferring it. They then said that they would unlock the domain for transferring if that's really what I wanted, and I said to go ahead and do it. Finally... I attempted the transfer again. I attempted to attach the domain name to my account, and it finally worked. It was all a big hassle, and caused me much frustration, and made me feel like a total n00b. I don't plan on attempting it again. I don't really wish to transfer my domain name again. I don't want any more hassle. No more stress. I've pretty much had a bad experience with purchasing a domain name, and feel I should just let it be, now that I have it set up. I still like your idea of not using a template, but having a unique site. |
