WFM is loosely based on the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series from the masterful mind of Rick Riordan; however, we are set in an alternate universe where many half-blood demigods have had their parentage made apparent regardless of their parent's power, Camp Half-Blood never existed, instead replaced by the Pantheon Academy for Gifted Youth, and neither did any of the original canons from the books. Instead, the demigods here at WFM have abilities focused from one of their god parent's specialties, manifested from birth and apparent throughout their lives. In general, by the time one reaches adolescence they have a firm grasp and concept of what they are able to do, and mastery can be reached in the late teens or early adulthood, depending on the power, and level of training. Monsters do not prey on or hunt young demigods, and the mist is growing steadily thinner, to the point that human civilians are becoming aware of the battle raging around them (though they still count off most of the occurences as odd weather incidents). The destruction is all the same, and even an untrained naked mortal eye could see when a subway rail is left in ruins or a small-time shop goes up in flames. Through unorganized consensus, the public is beginning to get a sense that something suspicious is taking place beneath their noses. The Pantheon Academy for Gifted Youth, operating under the guise of a normal boarding school, houses all of the Big Three's (and affiliates') demigod children, training them in the use of their powers, though even the half-bloods don't know that they are merely being used as their parents' pawns. The more powerful of them rise in the ranks quickly, and slackers are filtered out; to save yourself, you have to be the best. Whatever they may try to do, whatever choices are made, it's very apparent that the worst is still yet to come; they're just watching, hoping, and ``waiting for {MIDNIGHT;;} ``rules ``plot ``canons ``advertising |
