Rules
These rules are general rules that should be upheld in all areas of the forum, rather than just specific areas. These are most important to know.

1. Don't be dumb.
No pointless and stupid comments, do your best to type in full sentences and spell words properly, don't spam or advertise, etc. And yes, this is still the case if it's other people's topics and rep points.

2. Be friendly.
Don't just randomly flame other members, and be mean for no real reason or randomly accuse members of sprite theft and the like without evidence or a VERY good reason to do so.

3. Respect the staff team.
This doesn't mean that you can't disagree with us or criticize us for our work, but do not think that just because we aren't regular members that we don't fall under the same circumstances.

4. Stay safe for work.
Don't post any porn or illegal material. You are allowed to link to rom sites, but we are in no way related to these websites or condone the use of them.

5. No excessive use of memes or fads.
If it's on the internet, we've probably already heard or seen it. So please don't think you're original for posting "shoop the whoop" or talk about "long cat" - You can use 4chan for that.

5.1. Excessive Swearing isn't a good idea either.
There are no hard and fast rules about swearing (it is allowed, so there's no real need to self-censor); but if you start aiming those offensive words at another member; or just throw them out anywhere for no great reason; expect to be dealt with harshly. Hate speech is especially discouraged. Keep that kind of thing on the *Chans.

6. Don't bump old threads, or double post.
Don't bump an old thread that is dead. This generally means, anything not on the first page of topics. Of course, if it's something like your own topic and you're showing some changes to your old work or something, then go ahead. And on that note, with double posting, it's fine to double post if you're bumping your thread because you've made a change to your work or something, just don't bump your thread if it's simply to say "bumping because it's not the first topic in the list" or something. If you do want to bump a dying topic, please do, but make sure it's at least reaching the end of the page of topics...

7. Single word, short sentence, or just quoting a previous post.
Don't just post to say "XD" or "lol". Doing this counts as spamming, which will result in a 20% warn, and posting rights revoked for 12 hours. Therefore, put something at least of SOME additional value to the topic into your post that people might actually read, and not just scroll past.

8. Don't de-rail other people's topics.
Unless you have something interesting to add to the topic, don't post in it at all. If you want attention so badly then make your own topic.

9. Let's have page loading efficiency!
If images are too large horizontally, the forum boundaries will have to stretch to accomodate - which can cause issues on a few computers and slow net connections. If an image is really that large, link to it instead (all image hosting services offer direct links as well as the image insertion code). We're not heartless enough to warn you for things like that, but we'll convert very large images to links if we notice any.

10. Proxy use.
Coming here through a proxy isn't the best idea. We do have a couple of banned members who will go past the IP ban using a proxy. So in turn the Proxy itself will probably end up becoming banned. You'll either have to find a new proxy or just come here through your normal IP address.

11. Signatures.
This generally goes without saying, but a large signature can cause the same problems as a large image in a post. And because your signature shows up in every post you make, it can get annoying pretty quickly. Having incredibly huge signatures, in file size or length, is incredibly unnecessary. They will be deleted. If it persists, a warn or suspension.

12. Banned Members.
You are not to post anything for a banned member. They were banned for a reason and if you do any such thing for them you will be harshly punished.

13. If you break the rules, we will make a judgment on what you will receive as a punishment and will be decided by either the administration team or the moderation team. Spamming, Flaming, and other thing have set warning levels and effects on posting rights; but there are exceptions.

Remember. The admins can pretty much do what they want, and reserve the right to change these rules at any time.

14. Reporting System
The reporting system is there to report posts that are offensive, out of order, or just plain wrong. Don't report something like "he locked my topic" when you know good and well there was a good reason for a lock. The mods have to take time to check the reports and want to spend that time making the forum a better place rather than seeing stupid reports. So yeah, don't abuse the reporting system, especially over and over again. Thanks.
