I would live in a never ending 1941 Russia. (with no nazi invasion)

The time when they were still set to become bigger then the USA, Just before the Germans invaded.

Bah, bloody Nazis. If only they had ignored Russia, the Soviet union would still exist and would still be easily winning a never ending arms race.
The political form of a society wherein the proletariat is victorious in overthrowing the bourgeoisie will be a democratic republic

Or if only the West had taken the Soviet Union seriously in building an anti-Nazis alliance in the 1930s. Nazi Germany could have been crushed in the mid-to-late 1930s by a war on two fronts.

The Free Teritories"Anarchist ukraine" for sure :ninja:
"Anarchism is not mysticism: it is not a discourse on beauty; it is not a cry of despair. Its greatness is due, above all, to its devotion to the cause of oppressed humanity. It carries within itself the truth, and the aspiration of the masses, and is today the only social doctrine the masses can count on in their struggle."

Spain, when the anarchists/communist militias were in control (1936-1939)

And redboy thats when Stalin was in power, wouldn't you rather have lived in Lenin's time?

As well.

I think this was one of the best examples of leftism in practice, that I am familiar with. Although Free Ukraine or the early beginnings of the USSR (before it was hijacked), although I'm not as familiar with them, were also prime places of socialism in practice.

I would say East Germany. I wouldn't mind being in a more populated area of The Soviet Union if it were in 1953 or later.

Intresting choice, i don't know much about Easy germany

The DDR would be my choice too. On the feminist issue the DDR was extremely egalitarian and the standard of living for DDR citizens was very good. The government wasn't perfect and did some bad things, but the German socialist state made some tremendous progressive strides.

The ending of the DDR has brought mass unemployment and falls in the standard of living for women and working class men. A lot of East Germans wish they had the DDR back.

If the DDR existed today, I would be attempting to settle there and take part in a socialist society.

Paris Commune, definitely. "Look at the Paris Commune. That, my friends, was a true Dictatorship of the Proletariat."- Engels

Though it fell, I'd love to live in Paris anyway, Commune or not.

That would be my second choice. You see in 1924 when he died, Russia was still having problems. I was more thinking about how my life would be, not who was in charge :)

My perfect society would be a United Socialist Kingdom, run by Lenin
