I just went last Saturday to watch this movie. The critics seemed to have a poor impression of it but the main actor was lauded my Siskel and I could see why.

I would give it a solid 9.5 rating. It was true to the genre, from beginning to end it was well thought out, the actors were great and so very realistic! It was like actually being there during an invasion. The alien design was pretty original and their weapons and armor were not too far advanced from our own, so it was believable. The cyborged alien soldiers would use higher ground-rooftops and the like to snipe. I kind of enjoyed the robotic rocket launcher...looked wire controlled by an alien-sort of doglike in appearance but it would heat up like a blaster then launch a barrage of rockets to pulverize any target. THe flying drones rocked...having ability to split into 6 smaller drones and the whole had about 30 guns bristling from it..giving virtually no place to hide when the thing was above. The whole movie moved along at a good steady pace..not too much flash and bang compared to some movies..you could actually keep up with the action. I want to get a copy of this one..and most people know I just don't buy many movies unless I like them.
