Don't look at me!

Anime: Dragon Ball GT Genre: Action Creator: Osamu Kasai Company: Toei Plot: 20/25 If you've watched the two previous Dragon Ball's you know what to expect within the plot. It revolved around Goku who turns into a kid... again. The story focuses more on 3 characters rather than a big cast. While you'll see the famous DBZ characters you'll see them in smaller numbers. The main characters are Goku, Pan, and Trunks for the most part. What bugs me is the characters personalities really aren't as friendly as the previous shows. Trunks is completely different and has been err unbadassed? If that's a way to say it. The show's plot is still bizarre and fun but the lack of interesting characters and humor makes the plot the worst of the series. Artwork: 14/15 It was released in Japan in the 90's. Watching it today is hard to tell that it was. The creativity of the characters is one thing, but beautiful lighting and surroundings is another. The art is exception even after over 10 years. Originality: 23/25 Just as original as the previous shows. The enemies are still insanely wacky and twists like the blackstar dragon balls and Super Saiyan 4 also add an interesting twist. Is it the most orignal in DB history? Possibly. Length & Music: 5/10 Compared to the previous shows this is extremely short. GT has a small 64 episodes. While some anime are a 13 episode length, they didn't have other shows pertaining to it that are 150-300 episodes long. This is the shortest show in the Dragonball series which is a disappointment because this is the last of Dragon Ball. First Impression and Conclusion: 7/10 I felt a little underwhelmed by the series at first site because of lame plot twists and poor humor. It gets more exciting later in the series, but some may not make it that far. Overall Feel: 9/15 I feel that this is the worst in the long running Dragon Ball shows. The action is still fun and the enemies are as evil as ever. However, lame main characters and the least organized story lead me to question the overall feel. TOTAL:78/100 |
