WAR OPEN BETA CLIENT DOWNLOAD

You will need a Fileplanet account. You can get a free one if you don't feel like paying for one. But I LOVE fileplanet. Many of actually do pay for accounts. They rock that much. For example a WOW patch that would take like 6 hours to get from blizzard you could get in like 20 min from Fileplanet. The best part is the beta access to tons of games. But enough of that. If you will never use it again, just get a free account.

It's been a long wait for some of us...

On the eve of launch I thought a few of you guys might get some enjoyment out of this subject. I thought it mildly appropriate.

I recall being disappointed when I learned Games Workshop was so horrified with what Climax had done with their IP they revoked the licensing, the funding and severed all ties with them. The game play and carrier choices sounded interesting but the lore wasn't there and I remember reading about how the other game mechanics were just too convoluted. It was back in 2004 when I heard it was canceled and I remember being over fucking joyed when Mythic got the next shot at it.

Heres an old E3 clip with some actual game footage and everything:

Kind of interesting for 2004 no? I mean I really was looking forward to it (I've played the tabletop both fantasy and 40k since I was 12). I think they even we're trying to do mounted and unmounted combat. But yeah that voice in the trailer is really fucking lame and it really doesn't look like Warhammer.

Here's an article that sums most of it up, it goes over some of what the game was supposed to be. It's an easy read and not long.

So other than that all I really have to say is "Bout FUCKING TIME!"

Four years and it's almost here. Can't wait to lead you guys over the corpses of the entire fucking server strait to complete and total hegemonic domination.

A lot of us are running together now in the beta and due to the foundation laid by everyone who has contributed to our guild thus far I'm proud to say; complete and utter hegemonic domination is within our grasp.

There is one member thus far who has excelled in sculpting our image for display to those that we will lead and those we will destroy.

I think now is an appropriate time to thank Wintermute for this awesome fucking website and forums. He has put a shitload of personal time into making this place what it is today and I'd like him to know that we all appreciate it. Take the time when you get a chance and give kudos to Web Master Winter.

WAR on X-play

In a clip from X-play(Hulu.com) Jeff Hickman and Paul Barnett are asked to compare WAR to WoW.

After delivering those answers it's obvious to me... there is no comparison.
