I am soooo jealous! I'm swamped w/ work this next week, so I hope it's still playing in alot of places in a couple weeks. Plus, I had to break my usual Phantom-watching routine to see a couple other new movies. I can't wait to see the beginning "overture" scene again, or PONR, those being my two fave parts. Oh, AND the fateful (greatest-kiss-ever-onscreen) kiss between C/E at the end. So, 3 fave parts.

Hey, Queen, what's your absolute favourite moment of the movie?

The "Overture" of the beginning of the movie is my #1. The music gives me chills and the effects they used to go back in time with the theater are awesome, and I love how they extended the music of the Overture. Totally orgasmic.

Then it's "The Phantom of the Opera." The boat thing kicks ass and I love the haunting aria sung by Christine at the end.

Then it's "All I Ask of You." Christine + Raoul = So Cute!!!!

God, the first act kicks ass! Not to say I don't like the second act. I love Masquerade and PoNR.

This movie needs to make a quick rush to DVD. You know what I want to be on the DVD?

*Blooper Reels
*Deleted/Extended Scenes
*Behind the Scenes stuff
*The artistry behind the sets, costumes, and makeup
*Commentary by Schumacher, Rossum, Wilson, Butler, Driver, and Weber
*Interviews with all the above
*A filmed performance of the stage production
*The auditions of the cast
*Isolated movie score

What else should be on the DVD?

YES! Exactly! Glad you love that part, too!

As I said before: NO SHIT! [in agreement]

OMG! I can just picture them now.
Emmy: "..I gave you my mind blindly." [pause][accidentally breaks into laughter]
Gerard: "We gotta do that again." [laughing]
Emmy: [still laughing] "I'm sorry. Sorry."

*Deleted/Extended Scenes

Cool idea. What would they be of, though? I can't come up w/ any ideas about that.

Ooh, cool! Like how they film/edit stuff. Stuff like in these pics:

I so wish they would do that. W/ them all commenting in the same room at the same time; they all do it together.

*Interviews with all the above

I'd love to see that. Oh, and Queen, I saw the greatest interview of Emmy on Jay Leno and have been meaning to share. There's this one part where Jay surprises her by talking to her mother beforehand and then showing some old footage of her singing "If I Only Had A Brain" in the shower as a little girl. SO CUTE! CLICK HERE for that!

*A filmed performance of the stage production

You mean like w/ the original cast (Michael and Sarah) or stage performance w/ the movie cast?

Quote:

*The auditions of the cast

I'm really interested in that.

Quote:

*Isolated movie score

yes! And I think they should also release, at the same time, a second version of the soundtrack or a "complete" version, w/ all the score and also the singing parts that aren't on the soundtrack now (i.e. "Twisted Every Way", "Poor Fool, He Makes Me Laugh/The Ballet", etc.)

What else should be on the DVD?

I think you've thought of just about everything. :)

If they have a filmed performance w/the original cast, that would be great. I mean like filming a performance of the stage production on Broadway (or the London stage, I'm not picky), so you can see the stage production whenever you like.

Yeah, it is! I love it!
And I love how Jay says, "Now, we have some home videos of you. Do you know about this?"
And Emmy is like freaked out and says, "NO!" and looks scared.
And I love the part after:
Emmy: "You know, you just showed my first nude scene."
Jay: "I asked your mom if we had any more RECENT video of you.." LMAO.

I got that from PhantomPhan.net's video section.

Oh, you have GOT to see THIS one of Gerard! Man, he's HOT!

Saw Phantom for the third time. It gets better each time.

Did anybody else notice that near the end of the movie when Christine, Phantom, and Raoul are in the Phantom's lair, and right before Christine goes to the Phantom to kiss him, she mouths, "I love you," to Raoul? Somebody on the imdb.com forums pointed that out and I saw it for myself. Made me go all, "AWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!"

oh, she just did that so Raoul wouldn't go all medieval on Phantom's ass.

She loved both of them.

...sorry. I'm an C/P shipper. so much more passion, imo.

But that IS cute.

I'm all for C/R. The Phantom would be great for a steamy, high-charged, highly erotic sexual affair (and man, would that be great sex), but in the long run, Raoul is the better choice (IMHO) b/c he obviously loved Christine with every ounce of his being and would take care of her to her dying day and pine for her long afterwards until his own death. He'd be the sweet, romantic, slow-long-sensual sex.

So, really, it's all about sex.

OMG, would he be a great fuck. Phantom I mean. But you're right, Raoul would be slow and long.
