i just loved the british-ness!

Hey! That Birtish-ness is my life, trust it isn't actually as fun and quaint as they make it out in the films. It tends to just be cold... he he. It's good to be back, have missed you guys. I reckon I should be around for a bit, especially once the bf has internet!

welcome back, my darling Luce100! :terrific :cheers :flowerforgirls

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire [SPOILERS]

First of all I'll start with a few things that pissed me off. The beginning jumped too quickly. I haven't read the fourth book in a while, but i still remember more in the beginning and I KNOW they had to cut it short because then the movie would be five hours long, but it still annoyed me.

I was a bit meh, up until the other schools came to Hogwarts, then I LOVED the rest, this has to be my favorite movie (but not my favorite book.)

The Special Effects were AMAZING. That dragon blew me away. The whole Yule-Ball thing was HILARIOUS. But I thought the Ron+Hermione fight would have been more heated. AND VOLDEMORT, Ralph Fiennes was the best. So creepy, gave a very good performance. And Mad Eye Moody as well! Just how i pictured him. I'm glad Fred and George played a bigger role as well. I love them in the books, they're funny. And Cedrics death was the worst ... so sad.

I hope this director does the next films.

I am going to see it again ASAP.

8.9/10

I know this thread is two years old, but for anyone still interested J.K. Rowling says two characters (one of which might be Harry) die in book 7. She talks a bit about it here:

http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/books/06/2...s.ap/index.html

Oh and my husband always makes fun of me because I have the hots for Victor Krum (Stanislav Ianevsky). I just can't help it. I think he's legal, though! :rotfl

i didnt even notice this thread. I have an interesting factoid. Where i live just outside glasgow, in a place called "Dumbarton" well annually during the filming of harry potter,
the big train that they get to hogwarts on runs down the railway where i live. Its the Drumgelloch - Helensburgh line. And on the way to Helensburgh, there is a split in the line that travels straight to the Highlands and to the filming of Harry potter.

Some of my friends went up there just after the release of the goblet of fire. Just to see the castle.

So there. BTW i have not actually witnessed the train, but it was all over local newspapers with pictures and times of when the train will be going back up the line.

cool story, J.

i'm kind-of far away from the HP thing right now. i haven't even read the last book.

but when i was at the cinema expo in amsterdam, they showed a reaally small clip from the next film. i can't really recall it, but it didn't show any of the actors or anything.

yea, i can sense what you mean by that.. i remember that as well. like crawling to bed under a warm blacket and have your light switched on and a nice cup of hot chocolate and cold autumn rain outside and you're there all warm and comfy and you grab the book and it's all really nice and you don't have to worry about anything..

well, at least that's how i imagined it for me right now.. knowing i have to go to work tomorrow, wake up at 9 and work for 12 hours.. :thinking1
