Yeah, I loved RT too! I particularly loved Gwyneth's character. I loved how she was, like, the most covert smoker ever and she was so dark and stuff. ...Like, I love the scene when Arri and Oozzi can't resist asking her about her finger. And then Ben Stiller says something about that being rude. And Gwyn said, very darkly and mysteriously, "No. It's okay. I'll tell you." And then, she tells that story about running away to find her real family and getting it chopped off and all. I love that.

The only part I did not like was all the blood from the attempted suicide scene.

Yeah. That IS upsetting. I'm always torn between fast forwarding that part and letting it run, cause I don't like the scene, but "Needle In The Hay" is the song playing during it and I like that song.

A great song in that movie is "These Days" by Nico. Available on I-Tunes.

well, RT was one of the soundtracks I actually bought at the store.
It's a great one. I love all the classics that are on it. I love "Judy is a punk" and "Stephanie Says" and the instrumental version of "Hey, Jude".

Hey, I just remembered, when I first saw RT, and I heard "These Days", it was currently the soundtrack to a VW commercial. So, now I always think of that when that scene starts.

Ok, everyone. Today, I went to see a movie unlike ANY OTHER EVER MADE. I went to see "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow". With the exception of the actors themselves and a few props, the entire movie was computer generated. The actors filmed all their scenes in front of a blue screen and everything else was added in later. You know, this movie could've turned out to be really corny w/ a really bad script, as are alot of films w/ huge stars and totally based on special effects. But this was suprisingly good. Neither Jude Law or Gwyneth Paltrow overdid their roles. Their characters were mostly charming and witty. There was the occasional corny moment (from Angelina Jolie's character, pretty much), which is unavoidable in a film like this, but that's it. Most of it was clever, smart, and humorous. The computer stuff was well done, too. After a few minutes into the film, you completely forgot it was all computer generated. And it was nice to finally see some filmmakers who basically said, "Fuck the real world. Let's just go ALL CGI." And being set in 1939, the whole movie had an incredible retro style. It also pays homage to a bunch of different old films and styles in different parts. It was like seeing one of those old 40's radio shows come to life. Definately worth your $8. But a note: This is a must-see IN THE THEATRES. It is obvious that it will lose alot of it's grandness and wonder when it is put on a small TV screen. They also left it kind-of open for more films, should this one be successful, which is great.
