Just finished reading this. Again from the well thought out 40k Universe. For those who have knowledge of the literature that has been put into this brand, Fulgrim is one of the Primarch's who falls from grace and becomes a traitor and sides with Horus during the Horus Heresy. The book tells of the Emperors Children slow decay from their pursuits of self perfection to a perverse reality as their Primarch slowly becomes a pawn of Chaos. The book is one of the most tragic I've read as your unsure, until the end, whether Fulgrim's actions are actually his arrogance and self righteousness or the Chaotic influences on him until it becomes to late.

With twists and turns and a wealth of some of the most perverted imagery, the author captures the sinister results of self indulgence and excess as the quest for perfection becomes increasingly disturbing.

8/10 in relation to the book series.

Might have to pick this up sometime. I do love the 40K Universe, easily one of the strongest sci-fi settings around.

rights, say what you will about the game, the actual literature and imagination in the whole 40k universe is really well thought out. I'll stick up a few more horus heresy book reviews in the near future. But so far, Fulgrim is one of the best if you wan't tragedy and the extent to which humans will destroy themselves to reach perfection.
