The Sky Crawlers is a singe anime film based off the Japanese novel series by Hiroshi Mori. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encycloped...ime.php?id=8269 I have to say I don't think I've been so moved and saddened and made to reflect on our own world so much by an anime film more than this one. Don't get me wrong I like it tremendously however if I had to put this anywhere on my DVD shelf it would be next to Schindler's List........ no maybe I'm going to far there as this was made for entertainment, but it has certainly had an affect on me. I would highly recommend this film however while not being to graphic it is, profound in its execution. if anyone else has seen this I'd love to hear your views on it, I guess how I'd sum it up in a short sentence would be it represents "the futility of war and the darkness in our own nature" * PLEASE NOTE... WATCH TO THE END OF THE CREDITS* |
