My Entry::![]() I only used 1 texture layer, no special brushes used and the cloud render effect. I chose Oliver to be in the banner as he is quite the colourful, up-beat character. I used the colours of green, blue, yellow, red, there all pretty strong colours and all stand out. I decided upon the idea of using the bearing stinger as the center of all this colour, because of the way the bit beasts used to appear in the original series. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/snak...arch-Banner.png |

To judge the cover by its book.

![]() The original guidelines for this contest were to choose only one colour and exploit it. I chose yellow/orange because of its intensity. If anything, I think a colour, in such case, should represent one's very soul. And, although I would have prefered using another, less popular character, episodes 42 and 48 of G Revolution convinced me. I am still somewhat looking for a way to place focus only on one colour without really adding any additional colour, so I went for grey hues. I think it produces a style which I have never seen before. Dranzer's blue was obtained from the negative of yellow. And, iPod. The only brush used was the regular one, since I could not create spots of colour out of thin pixels. By the way, I would have made better use of 99,599 pixels with a wider palette. |
