You're right. Both of us are standing firm with our beliefs. I won't bother coming back here. I'm just too tired (it's 2:47 am here) and find this useless. This topic is but an endless parade of fools looking for an answer which does not exist. No hard feelings? |

Couldn't give a flip. Going to keep calling it Novae Rog anyway, since it looks far better in text than Norway Rock (or anything else for that matter). XD |

It certainly is not impossible to mean Norway Rock.
Information taken from here. The 'w' could be translated to 'v' and the 'ck' to 'g'. I am still not confirming anything only that it is not impossible. |

Rude b******! Here I am trying to be polite, but you still feel like you have to be an ass about it. It's just an attack. Get over it. |

Don't take everything so personally. That was probably Zii's way of saying she agrees to disagree. It's 'just an attack'. Stop causing trouble. |

Glaring_Dream, you seem to be rather overly sensitive, no offense . I personally didn't find anything offensive in anything that Zii has said, though maybe some stubborness on his/her side of things, and I'm usually kind of on the paranoid side when interpreting whether something is meant to offend me or whatever. And you don't have to be so upfront about your apparent disliking for Zii, it's easier to just leave it so there are no flame wars or anything, or sarcastic comments on the side in future should you two cross paths again, or anything like that. Especially since you'd probably be leaving a bit of a bad impression this way, since you're a bit new and nobody's gotten to really know you, and Zii's, well, not new and many people probably already know her. No offense, it's just common sense you know...? Now, I'm not exactly very good at keeping my posts totally clean of vieled disliking or blunt suspicion either, so I guess if you went into research and found some incriminating posts I've made somewhere that contradicts my little rant, I'd be made the fool, all that. So maybe I don't have rights to ask you to take it a little easier with interpretation and assumptions . But really, on forums and stuff it can get kind of hard to try and tell whether someone is trying to be offensive or is just making a totally innocent post or what have you. So... I guess it's best to either ask the person if they meant to be rude or not(I've done this many times, usually they didn't mean to offend...). Or just go under the easier assumption that they didn't mean to offend you, in which you would be not only the better person, if the person did indeed mean to offend you, by showing that you can take such offense in stride(also very possibly making them look bad or making it a one-sided argument), but you could also very well be avoiding an argument or potential online enemy or horrible misunderstanding(this is always happening, making such big messes of things...). And anyway, the person that you feel might have insulted you might very well be a potential friend, and the 'insult' just a misunderstanding(God, I've seen that a lot...). Anyway, maybe saying "It's just an attack. Get over it." isn't the best... I dunno', statement, argument...? I mean, s/he could say the same to you and ask you why you bothered to even barge into this thread if it was so stupid...? And, you know, all that... Uh... yeah, now I'm going to look back and mooch off other people's research over Novae Rog and try and see if there's anything I can make sense of the attack... heheh ^^;. Ali |

As for my view, if Yuriy's voice in my last post didn't say enough on its own... Novae- Since when has ice got to do with a star, but then, since what has gravity got to do with a water turtle, but then, what has Norway and a german word got to do with a Russian team. Am I getting somewhere with this... Basically, both versions are as plausible as each other. For what I think works... Considering I've seen Norway Rock written in words on an official product, heard Kai-V's description of how letters can be lost to sound like something else and read Dark Kai's descripion of the translierating example, plus the fact I like... Norway Rock better, I am siding with that. Now unless Aoki Takao and a large group of production workers, script writers and translators post an image of themselves in this topic holding up a large sign saying: 'To the people of Ty Kamara: the proper name and pronounciation of this character's attack is...' then there is no point continuing to argue over two plausible ideas for the 'correct' wording for this attack. |

Please excuse my strange way of communication; I sometimes cover words with things that sound offensive but really aren't. No hard feelings. |

The thing is, the spelling 'Novae Rog' only exists because somebody misinterpreted Tala's Jpn VA as saying something that wasn't English. The VA was not experienced enough with the language to pronounce it correctly in the first place.
