This is what I thought of their ages before:

Kai- 14, 15 (V Force) and 16 (G Revolution)
Ray- 14, 15 (V Force) and 16 (G Revolution)
Max- 13, 14 (V Force) and 15 (G Revolution)
Tyson- 13, 14 (V Force) and 15 (G Revolution)
Kenny- 12, 13 (V Force) and 14 (G Revolution)
Hilary- 13, 14 (V Force) and 15 (G Revolution)
Hitoshi- 24 (G Revolution)
Tala- 14 and 16 (G Revolution)
Spencer- 15 and 17 (G Revolution)
Robert- 15 and 17 (G Revolution).

In the DUBS, Tyson explained [while talking with Hilary] about the wicked witch? of the 8th grade. I'm no American, but 8th grade is for 14 year olds?.

But, in the SUBS are different. They appear to be more younger. For example:
Kai- 12, 13 (V Force) and 14 (G Revolution).

The ages maybe wrong [or atleast I think it is] but that covers up what I heard/read about it.

I was 14 when I was in the 9th grade, so I highly doubt that. But we have to consider the fact that there is limited wording in animation. You can only say a specific amount of things within a certain time period before the movement stops.

Asuki is right, but it totally depends whether you look at their ages in the Japanese version, or the dubbed version.

I mean in the dub, Tyson turned 13 in season one, hence the episode called 'Thirteen Candles' but in the Japanese version it may had not actually been Tyson's birthday... But I don't really know this for sure because I haven't seen the Japanese version of the episode.

In America... well... 13-15 in 8th grade I guess...? I was 13 in 8th grade, but most of my friends were 14 or turned 14 throughout the year. There was a girl that moved in from somewhere else though(I think a Southern state...?) and she was 15, their ages were 1 year older then us in what school she went to. So I guess it depends sometimes. But probably something like 14.

8th grade = 13 if birthday is before certain month, 14 if after certain month. It's around July in Aus, but I don't know about other countries. 15+ in this year is obviously because of having to re-do a grade at some point.

I don't get why Nelvana had to change a good luck party into a birthday party.

I know! It didn't make much sense if it turns out that in the original it was only a goodluck party!

I know in the manga it was goodluck party though...

I always thought for g-rev it was:

Kai: 16
Rei:15
Tyson:14
Chief: 14 (tyson&him were in the eighth grade class)
Max:14
Daichi:12

But I could be wrong. 15-16 seems more Kai, who the @*&^ said he was 20?????

Eigth grade? Normally you go in 13, and come out 14, but sometimes you go in 12 and come out 13, it depends on what month you were born in.

Wait... does it not seem strange that if Takao was in 8th grade, he wasn't in uniform?? Usually, in Japan, after elementary school you go to school where you have to where uniforms, and I think you also usually go to all-girls or all-boys schools... hm... might be that the Japanese version had Takao and Hiromi and junk all in lower grades, like 6th grade or something... maybe I'm being too presumptious... hmmm... Maybe...
