No. A human cannot be manipulated by a lump of metal. And that is final. |

I heard that in a few of the banks here, people have been laid off and replaced with computers. |

I doubt it, but we'll see what the future brings. Though computers and machines seem to be taing over everything (Well, not entirely.) nowadays. |

I've heard this, it might happen, if people are stupid enough. What will supervise the children? They could just easily smash the computers to bits and no one would know but the students. |

Yeah, I can imagine it now... Computer: Veronica, stop talking! Veronica: Sorry... Computer: (Starts teaching again) Veronica: (whispering quietly to friend) Computer: Veronica, please be quiet. Veronica: Sorry... Computer: (continues teaching) Veronica: (Jabbers again to friend) Computer: That is it! (fires laser and blows me up) that goes for the rest of you. It'll be awful... |

As far as the technology goes, computers still can't think for themselves and act to the situation. I can't see it happening. |

We had an interesting conversation with our German teacher the other day. I think Germany HAS in fact developed the program, so that the teachers teach you through computers but sit at home. And they do have a university where pupils use it online. Have online lectures, email homework in ect. |

Teaching via the computer is useful in some cases, but I don't believe that you would learn as well from a computer as you would from a person. Humans are group creatures and we react better to other people than technology. In most cases. |

That'll be...strange and yet rather cool. Although, I don't think that would happen. I never heard about this rumour before, instead watching it in the cartoons. |

My opinion is that nothing can replace a teacher..a computer can't do it<< |

Actually, that's developed in quite a few places, especially places in the mountains where school is a helicopter trip away. I just think it takes away from your social life. |

Uh, I think that if that ever did happen, it would be a long, long, time from now. We don't have the technology to do anything like that, and computers can't help people like other humans can, course they can't kill like them either... |
