Right after hearing about his dubname as "Miguel" I started to call him as "Miggy" myself. Mihaeru (related names... thanks to some site): Mario, Miro, Mikael, Mikhail, Michael, Mike, Miguel, Mihaille and Miyaru and according to the site "Behind the Name" the name "Miguel" is a Spanish/Portugese form of "Michael" Maybe the Italian dub did based it from this fact. Also, Michael is a soldier angel and Mihaeru is one of Balthez' soldiers. Good connection

I told you the thread was old xD On the subject of 'Mihaeru's name, Miguel and Mikhail (dub and Chuang Yi manga, respectively) are both variants of Michael. If you so require to settle on his name then you need to pick the name variant that suits his country of origin. Miguel is Spanish and Portuguese while Mikhail is Russian and Bulgarian, according to behindthename.com. Or heck, you can choose neither. Go nuts. http://www.behindthename.com/php/extra.php...r&terms=michael But considering the way he's placed into the story (his team being a replacement for the European bunch), I seriously doubt his name is actually MICHAEL, unless he's German ...? And obviously, there's already a character with this name. Mr. Aoki would be nuts to make two characters with the exact same name. Having said that, what's the romanji for All Starz Mike's name? |

Well, we do have two "ray's." Rai and Rei. Rai being Lai. So having two Michaels wouldn't be surprising. Especially when the original PPB All-Stars Michael didn't have much of a role in G Revolution. |

Rei and Rai are not pronounced the same way. 'ai' in 'Rai' is said like in the English word 'my' (in Japanese, at least). 'Rei' is pronounced as 'Ree' in the opening of Beyblade 2000. However, I think it should be 'ray - i'. |

I see. Yeah, pronounciations are always a factor. Anyways, I heard form a friend that it was Michael (Me-Kai-El). Italian, I think. But in the show they say it as Mihaeru or whatever. I don't know how Mihaeru came to be though. |

Mihaeru's what you get if you spell his Japanese name in English without translating the phonetics to something like Michael. |

Maikeru. 'ƒ~ƒnƒGƒ‹' (Mihaeru) also translates as Michael on Altavista. |
