Fanfaction Story: Moebius’ first ghostly encounter. A fanfaction is a real life story that happened to a certain Ty Kamarian and it is 100% reality. A fanfaction may have slight changes but no major changes are made and it will never be fiction. I told this story first to Sieg Wahrheit then to all of you. Begin... Introduction: The story happened in the Philippines at the country/province of Nueva Ecija in the late 1990’s (I forgot the exact date) Mariel (Moebius) narrating: I am only 9-years-old when this unforgettable ghost story happened. Though I am an unbeliever of ghosts, I cannot expect to have this fateful encounter with some. It happened 2 years before my uncle Jose VI died. Tiyo (uncle) Jose is a well-known dentist in their place at Mata St. Lupao N.E. He makes the people happy by giving them good service for a considerable price. Aunt Mitch (not her real name) forgot her huge stripe-grey cat at Tiyo Jose’s house. Uncle Jose decided to bring the cat home to Aunt Mitch in the middle of the night because the cat’s purring is a nuisance to Kuya (male cousin) Gino, , Tiyo Jose’s son and Ate (female cousin) Virgie (unofficial nickname), Tiyo Jose’s daughter. I remember it’s a very very dark night since Mata St. does not have that much lightings at that time but I wanna challenge myself so I decided to come with Tiyo Jose. Kuya Gino just stayed home and played board games with Ate Virgie. Tiyo Jose placed the cat in a laundry bin (“hamfer” as we call it) faced down so that it wont escape. I followed my Tiyo Jose since it’s very dark and I cant see the way. Kuya Gino and Ate Virgie bid us good-bye and wished safety for both of us. Tiyo Jose forgot his c**k or rooster that Aunt Mitch is asking him to bring so Tiyo Jose went back to his hut. He asked me “Mariel, can you wait here? Take care of the cat for me for a while.” I sat down the laundry bin. I can hear the cat purring loud. A few moments later, I heard dogs barking. I have a very clear phobia on dogs and I thought the dogs are going pounce on me because I have a cat under the laundry bin. I prayed to God very hard but it all came out that the dogs are tied on the trees or placed in their respective cages. It wasn’t a relief yet. The true fear is just starting when the dogs howled. I heard from the elders of Mata St. that if a dog howls, that means they have seen a ghost and it’s coming at you or a person is about to die soon. I can’t shout due to fear because the ghost might come near me. The cat just keeps on purring under the laundry bin and I kept on trembling. Then Tiyo Jose came out of the house with a drilled box (or a box with holes ^^;) and inside was a silent rooster. He asked me if I was okay. I lied to Tiyo Jose and said with a trembling smile “I’m okay, don’t worry about me.” Tiyo Jose smiled and carried the laundry bin. He asked me to carry the rooster-in-the-box ^^; and boarded a 3-wheeled vehicle called “tricycle” Tiyo Jose asked the tricycle driver to drive us directly to Aunt Mitch’s house. During the trip, the real terror happened. While traveling the vast fields of Nueva Ecija, I saw a shadowy-figure of a woman or man with glowing green eyes waving it’s shadowy-hand at me. I tried to catch Tiyo Jose’s attention but Tiyo Jose is holding the cat. The cat is just purring at the rooster is just scraping the inner sides of box. I prayed again and the figure vanished without a trace. We went down Aunt Mitch’s house (Moebius: I forgot where exactly she lives but I can describe her house) Aunt Mitch’s has a nipa hut and a small house built in her small lot. Her lot is filled with insects making noises by the grass and plants and some more cats with a glowing yellow eyes. I got annoyed because Aunt Mitch has so many cats and that cat we brought to her is just the descendant of her early cats. As if I felt that our efforts is wasted. Due to my annoyed face, Aunt Mitch’s relative just asked me to stay at the nipa hut. I felt that I am being rejected so I smirked and stayed at the nipa hut with those cats. A wicked wind blew at my face then I felt my back was being poked by someone’s fingers. I cant turn my back because of fear. It’s impossible that a cat is poking my back because all the cats are outside the nipa hut or infront of me dozing off. I prayed to remove my fear but it continued. The mysterious finger continues to poke my back and sounded as if the mysterious person is groaning and moaning. After an hour of chatting with Aunt Mitch and her relatives, Tiyo Jose came out of the house and fetched me. He felt that I have a fever and he sees my skin in pale white, more pale and white than my palm and sole. Since I was feeling too bad, he carried me towards the tricycle that stopped over. The tricycle drove us back to Mata St. I just slept the remaining hours of that dark and fateful night. Tiyo Jose did not slept. He was looking for a remedy to cure my strange feeling and fever. In the morning of the next day… My mom woke up early to prepare our breakfast. Kuya Gino noticed that I am acting a bit strange and Ate Virgie told my mom that I have an unexplained fever. Tiyo Jose woke up later and opened his dental clinic. A few minutes later, I woke up and his first patient came. It was an old man who asked for a clean-up. After the clean-up of the old man, the old man began narrating a scary story that really happened in a field. The old man said the particular place where the field is. Tiyo Jose recalled that we have passed that field last night. The old man narrated that there is a somewhat ghost of a late farmer who never left his beloved field that is seen by people with third eye. That late farmer when he’s still alive loves to wave at the people passing by his beloved fields. The old man admit that he has a third eye that’s why he saw it. Since the tricycle was fast, Tiyo Jose did not saw the ghost that I saw and he just laughed at the old man. The old man raised his eyebrows and laughed too. I called for a small conference by the dining room after the old man left. My mom told us that most members of our family has a third eye. I fainted at my chair and I was carried back to the bedroom so that I can rest properly. After 2 years, Kuya Gino, Ate Virgie and I decided to have a vacation in the Visayas region. My parents decided to stay in Manila to fix our home. In the middle of our vacation in Boracay Beach, my Aunt Jen (unofficial nickname) received a call from my mom that Tiyo Jose died of somewhat a high blood. Aunt Jen decided not to tell us what happened immediately and she cut our vacation. We felt that our joy is killed and just followed our Aunt’s orders with an annoyed look. Uncle Chris (unofficial nickname) also received the news from my mom. They never told us anything at all and why Aunt Jen cut our lovely days at the beach. Uncle Chris and Aunt Jen just bought us a ticket to board back to Manila with them. My mom called for a conference with the seven of us (my mom, my dad, Aunt Jen, Uncle Chris, Ate Virgie, Kuya Gino and me) by the dining place. Aunt Jen and Uncle Chris narrated why they cut our vacation cause by a phone call that Tiyo Jose died the same time we are having fun. My cousins cried bitterly because their father died. I left the dining place and went to my room thinking about the fun that was cut because of such news (I did that for me not to be affected and for my vacation not to be ruined) Then, I remember the elders of Mata St. and what they said about the dogs howling 2 years ago. It is true. At that time, Tiyo Jose is dying soon and just kept his unknowing death from us. Moebius: The terror does not end there, it’s just starting. - The End - |
