I just remembered my number one reason for disliking Tyson. And sorry, I'm not a new opinion. It's because of episodes like when Tyson-tachi arrive at Robert's castle. Ty's talking all episode, like none stop. Even when he's lost in the castle, all alone, he barely takes a breath in between. It started to make my ears hurt. And that's what Kai has over Tyson, he doesn't talk enough to hurt my ears. I'm a big fan of pointed silence. It's annoying when they take that out for some stupid reason like recapping what we already know. |

You're right. And he's so annoying, you know he's going to win the battle know matter what... |

But Kai's so predictable too, just like Tyson so you can't say Tyson's predictable. KAI: First match he looses second match he wins. Samething always. TYSON: First match he looses unless it's the only match. Second match he wins. SAME thing! |

But with Kai you're always guessing if he's even going to battle (also, how long it'll take to knock the opponent out, 3 seconds to 12 minutes). Tyson, he accepts every match that comes his way, well at least in the first season. |

I said this already, but Tyson winning is for plot's sake. If he loses, the Bladebreakers lose and that's the end O.o;; He has to win for a reason, afterall. For example, if he lost against Robert, then the Majestics would have taken the Bladebreaker's place in the championships. If he lost against Tala, then Voltaire would have achieved world domination. I know all this is very predictable, but that's why we have fanfics, ne? Since everything is so... typical, it gives us writers the freedom to explore various possibilities =) |

So basically all of Tyson's annoyingness is because of the plot.. |

Tyson being "annoying" depends on the person. It's just certain characteristics of his that make him annoying to some people. He doesn't annoy me as nearly as much as he annoys other people ~_^ But that's just me, right? You guys say he's annoying because he wins a lot. Some people might actually admire that, like other characters in the show. It just depends on who you talk too ^^ I get annoyed too sometimes at people who are just totally smart, but it doesn't make me hate them or anything. |

Yami Yugi wins a lot, and he's not annoying  The thing was Tyson's fist appareance - You know, you never forget the FIRST impression o.o I mean - Taichi Yagami (Digimon One) has the same personality of Tyson, but - He's not very annoying. Why? Because he was handsome. Just think about it.... They should pay more attention to their characters, and they should made Tyson more attractive on the first series. |

That's so superficial though. Judging people based primarily on outer appearance is something I loathe with a buning passion. So Ty wasn't that hott in season 1; that doesn't change what he is on the inside. I know that looks count to some extent, but they're not eternal either. I think we talked about this before ^^;; |

But Tyson isnt a person. He's a character o.o And judging him by the way he looks - It's not that bad because he has no feelings. |

No, he isn't, and indeed, he doesn't have feelings. But judging from appearance, whether it's a character or a person, is still superficial. It's like liking food that looks really pretty and not caring that it tastes horrible ~_^ Some foods, despite how they look, taste really good =) |
