I'm not sure if this topic has already been used before, but I'm sure you noticed that the Majestics don't have ANY accents at all... >< Robert has a slight one...

XD Just a weird thought...

I know! It would have been so much better if they'd had the right accents.

Oliver has an American accent XD It sounded so bad when he said stuff in French without even trying to do a French accent... x_x

Lets see:

  • Robert-A posh english accent
  • Oliver- American, like Elisa said...
  • Johnny- American???
  • Enrique-American???

It's still on the topic of voices but all of the majestics except Robert is played by a woman (not being sexist) so maybe that's why the voices aren't that good.
Again it's still on topic but is it me or does Bryan sound Mexican???

Hehehe.

What are Russians supposed to sound like? I dunno, never met one.

o.o It really doesnt make sense that Enrique lived his whole life in Italy, without an Italian accent. And that goes for Johnny and Oliver.

o.o Well, Robert's German... thought sounds nothing like it. More like english accent...

To judge the cover by its book.

For me, German and Russian are a little bit ... alike ... Both are usually deep voices. And the accents are ... Yes ...

It was funny when Oliver said "Au revoir les amis!!". It was idiot too ...

Juan Carlo= Italian
Ralf= German
Johnny McGreggor= Scotland
Olivier= French

Well let's think about this from a logical standpoint. If the Euro-Team had been given ethnic-background-like accent when heard in english, there would be alot of complaint about how annoying they may have sounded and such and it would probably take away from the show itself. So, I have no problem with the voices. There are Germans, French, Italians and Scots who have great english accents and speak english without a hint of thier native language's accent in thier speech, perhaps these fellows are some of the few. And also with today's stereotypes towards a foreigner's english accents are quite "harsh". The with french with the so called "hon-hon-hon", canadians saying "eh" every 2 secs are examples. ^_^

Well, I wouldn't complain if they had accents. As long as I can understand...

~.~ I don't mean stereotypes! I mean, if Oliver was French, he would've said, "Au revoir les amis!!" with a little accent. I'm not even sure if he said it right...

>< I take French... well, I have to. I live in Canada... and I don't say "eh" much... sometimes when I ask questions

*snorts* When Oliver said that I was like "oh no, MORE FRENCH!!" At least it wasn't too bad. But I agree with shinraisei, if their accent was too thick, I would've been totally annoyed. >_>
BTW, I'm Canadian, grew up in Canada, lived in Canada all 16 years, I never use the word 'eh.' >_>

that's what they did with Tala

if they hadn't done it so thick you probably could've said the accent was some what like Russian. But when they put it so thick it sounds like German

German and Russian is somewhat alike in accent but absolutely not enough for something like that in my book ^^;;
