Well, that men's skiathlon (cross-country skiing) just flat wore me OUT. :nailbiter:

After falling down in the very beginning of the race, Sieman Krueger went on to win gold!! Incredible!

Chris Mazdzer wins first men’s singles luge medal in U.S. history

Team USA picked up it second medal of the 2018 Winter Olympics in historic fashion on Sunday when Chris Mazdzer held on for the silver to claim the first men's singles luge medal in U.S. history. Mazdzer wasn't considered a serious medal threat in the men's single luge after not coming close to a World Cup podium this season.
.........
Mazdzer, 29, who hails from Pittsfield, Mass., had finished 13th in his two previous Olympic appearances -- Vancouver and Sochi -- and was just 18th in the World Cup overall standings entering Pyeongchang.

"It's 16 years in the making," Mazdzer told NBC's Lewis Johnson. "I've had a rough last two years, and it just shows: Don't ever give up. Whenever you lose, keep fighting. "

Canada's Mikaël Kingsbury wins Olympic gold in men's moguls.

Canadian freestyle skier Mikaël Kingsbury won gold in men's moguls on Monday at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, securing the one honour that had eluded him in his illustrious career.

The 25-year-old from Deux-Montagnes, Que., was among the group of six who had advanced to the medal rounds in South Korea, and the second last skier to go on the final run.

He scored 86.63, good enough for first place with one skier to go.

The Japanese skier who followed him, Daichi Hara, had a score of 82.19, setting off jubilation for Kingsbury and his family once they knew his run would hold up for gold.

PYEONGCHANG, South Korea – Don’t believe anyone who tells you the NHL isn’t here. The NHL has sent the very best to the Olympics.

The very best Zamboni drivers.

They are called ice technicians, and even though it looks like a joyride to wheel around a rink in a giant ice-making machine, it’s actually a very specialized task.
So specialized that South Korea simply didn’t have the experienced people to do the job on the world stage.
This is not easy stuff. It takes years of training and the Koreans didn’t have that kind of time. So the PyeongChang Olympic Committee brought in Colorado’s Don Moffatt to be Chief Ice Maker. (Yes, that’s his title.) He’s the wizard with 31 years of experience who handles everything from the Olympics to the NHL outdoor games. “When ice needs to be made,” Hevern said, “they call in Don Moffatt.”

The Zambonis in Korea are actually new models built in Canada. It’s an adjustment for Hevern and the others, as some of the controls are on the right side of the steering wheel instead of the left. That matters more than you’d think, as drivers can’t see the ice directly in front of them. So a lot of what they do is based on feel and muscle memory.

“You develop a sixth sense,” Hevern said. “You’re sitting in the back. You have to know when to turn.”

Curling is the best Olympic game. Women and men yelling at each other in foreign languages to SWEEP! Also the athletes are easy on the eyes.
