Thomas looked at the piece of paper that was still in his hand. He had just left Finn's place, and the man had let him know that the numbers on the paper pointed towards an abandoned settlement of sorts called Unity Bridge. He looked back at Elizabeth. She hadn't really caught his sense of adventure, so she was dragging her heels and looked like she was ready to smack him for trying to drag her to some ruined bridge. "Elizabeth come on I want you to come with me. When was the last time you had the chance to follow directions to a mystery? This could be a treasure! We might find something worth a lot!" She groaned, but started to walk in the direction that Finn had pointed them in.

She squinted at him as they started to make their way east. The sun had risen an hour or two ago, so it was still a bearable temperature on the open road. "Thomas what's the point? You put some useless crap into a stupid machine that spat out a piece of paper that some guy says tells you to go to the middle of nowhere." She took a breath and continued. "We don't even know what we might find. What if this machine just leads people to ambushes? What if we get there, open a box, and it's rigged with a mine? Is this worth it?" They continued for a while without talking to each other. Elizabeth was annoyed that Thomas was running all over the place because of a piece of paper, and Thomas wished that Elizabeth shared his sense of adventure. He thought that it was a sad shame that even though she was the younger member of their dynamic duo, she was more jaded than he was. That wasn't to say that he hadn't thought of the possibilities.

He looked down at the two guns on his belt. He was more familiar with his old shooter, but he was glad he'd been able to buy a better revolver to add to his arsenal. He was actually doing this just so they could try to have some harmless fun. Ever since Elizabeth had joined up with him it had been one danger after the other. They deserved to unwind for a bit and this treasure hunt would be just the thing, even if they didn't find anything at the end of it. And if there was any indication that there was something there then he wasn't going to let her get close enough that if it turned out to be something dangerous she'd be in harms way.

Judging by the position of the sun it was a few hours after noon. He sighed, and she looked at him. "What? Am I not walking fast enough for you?" She pointed around them at the arid landscape. "Are you worried that all of these 'treasure hunters' will get there first?" She stomped ahead to stay in front of Thomas.

He didn't change the pace of his steps, but increased the length of his stride, and he soon caught up with her. He continued walking like that, and eventually she had to work to keep up with him. He let it continue for a few minutes before looking back at her as she sweated and acted as though her discomfort was a surprise. "Oh would you like to stop for a minute? We could have a civil conversation in the shade somewhere. I think that would be nice." She frowned, and then her embarrassment for her her behaviour showed on her face for a moment before she nodded. Thomas looked ahead. "Oh and would you look at that? If I didn't know any better I'd say that is a bridge of some sort!"

They still had a bit of a distance to walk though, but soon the bridge that had been a small figure on the horizon came closer and closer until they found themselves in the cool air that is found around a moving body of water. Thomas pointed at a small bench that was underneath the dessicated remains of a beach umbrella. "Take a seat over there. I'm going to look around and see if we came here for something or not." He looked around as Elizabeth rested and drank some of the water that she'd brought. He could see a few ghouls in the distance, so the water might not be safe to go swimming in. He heard a heavy wooden thunk in the river be the bridge, and he went over to check it out. Well strike me blind if that doesn't look like what we came here for. It was a coffin that had washed up on shore. The sound he'd heard was a piece of driftwood that had smacked into the end of it that was still in the water. He cautiously approached it. There was no sign that anything had been buried in the beach as a trap. The sand was smooth, and when he made his way to the coffin he discovered that it wasn't locked by anything. He opened it a crack and peeked inside in an attempt to see if there was a bomb with a trigger wire or anything like that, but he didn't see anything so he swung it open and looked inside.

"Well I'll be damned."

(Graders Note: You've improved since you and Elizabeth murdered shack owner with mysterious connection to your past. Nice writing!

Coffin

Grow Box + Mystery Seeds - Really nifty, this can grow a small plant! It basically runs itself, so fill it with water and plant the seed, leave it alone for three months, and voila! Agriculture!

Baseball Grenade - An inventive spirit filled a baseball with gunpowder. You are now the prime benefactor of their innovative thinking

Peacemaker (Tier 2) - Woah, immaculate condition! Either a replica or extremely carefully stored, it's almost a crime to shoot the damn thing.
