Character Name: Eber

Character Stats: S: 10 P: 8 E: 7 C: 3 I: 5 A: 4 L: 3

Character Race: Human Caucasian

Approx. age: 34

Character Personality: Eber can be described as a stoic looking, mountain man with a keen sense of self dependence, not to be confused with being a misanthropic narcissist, Eber is a more or less, good natured and caring person, jaded from years of wandering and facing horrors of wasteland life. Despite this, he knows how to use his appearance to intimidate and attain what he so requires. Eber has been known to be a social recluse but the monotony of being trapped with his own thoughts and demons keeps him from continuing on this path, and often times will seek out comfort in the form of social interaction such as helpful advice/acts of kindness or mercenary/caravan guard work to replenish his always diminishing social circle.

In spite of this, Eber prefers the personal comfort of the wilderness, hunting as a child and often being all alone has left him more in tune with nature then typical settlement life, abuse from his past often fuels decisions when it concerns raiders, bandits, and other forms of lowlife scum. Eber does not know any life other than that of the wasteland, and is comfortable with the cruel circle of life that has been drawn for the world, but yearns for a more simple, peaceful life. Eber has a very stoic demeanour, and hold ideals of the philosophy dearly.

Character Appearance:

Eber stands at a decently sized 6'2, with a 240 pound weight that fits his powerful frame well, he is muscular but is more stout as he has an endomorphism about him, having a mountain man as a father, he was never taught to give much care for his long hair and thick beard, but keeps it maintained to his liking, as it is aesthetically pleasing to him. Though his face remains largely un-scarred, his arms, chest, and back are riddled with scars and burns. Eber never wears anything brightly coloured or too flamboyant, for obvious reasons, but is adorned with homemade jewellery, such as a necklace of claws and teeth from various wasteland creatures and critters, his clothing is largely fashioned from tanned hides of various hunted animals, Eber wears a jacket sewn together with the tanned hides of bighorners, slacks from the pelts of coyotes, and boots from the scaly remains of mutated geckos, he is not much for hats.

Eber has a dark complexion, from living in the wild for many years and wandering, his beard and hair are black, with tufts of grey. Deep wrinkles characterize his face and give the impression that he has experience, (not in anti-ageing cream application) Eber's eyes look very pale silver, and has a very stoic demeanour, an does not like to show negative emotion openly. A grizzled older gentleman, in short. Eber is a very large man, and looks as if he has built himself up from the ground, forming every muscle by carving it out of marble, he stands with a discipline and strength not seen in most individuals, not to say that he believes he is invincible, but knows his body is a well maintained temple.

Eber has a very powerful, commanding voice, and articulates his sentences with a sort of blunt grace, he says what needs to be said, not what he is tempted to and tries to remain as far from brash as possible.

Starting equipment:
Armor: Crude leather and hide armor (tribal tier 1)
Weapons: Lawnmower blade fashioned to a long wooden handle (primitive spear, tier 1)
Zip Gun (tier 1)
Straight razor (tier 1)

Character story: (i'm never terribly good at this, please advise)

Eber was born in a heavily forested area around the outskirts of Arkansas, with a father who was often mistaken for a renegade tribal gang leader because of his appearance and tribal style of living, life was never easy for the two, factoring in the zealousness of the Army after Bitter Springs and after their near extinction. Eber and his father lived a simple life, living in peace while managing a small homestead deep in the forests of Arkansas, Eber's father, Jax would raise brahmin and sell them off to aspiring caravaners and people transporting water, or other such goods, and would grow produce such as corn, potatoes and tobacco for sale to the occasional wanderer, Jax was no stranger to acts of good will, and would often take in sick or injured. One afternoon after a particularly hot day of prospecting and farm work, a wandering robed individual walking the beaten path near their home collapsed infront of the walkway to the road. Alarmed, Eber alerted his father and helped carry the man into one of the spare shacks usually kept for mole rats, after giving the man water, food and a good night rest within the shelter of the isolated encampment, the stranger thanked them profusely, and left shortly after. Jax did not ask for caps, and assumed the traveller did not have any to his name, not an uncommon occurrence coming from Little Rock. All seemed to be normal.

A couple days later, a knock was heard at the door of the small house, Jax went to the door and looked through the pigeon hole, a shot was heard through the home and Eber, being a small boy, hid in the closet, through the cracks of the door he saw that the stranger has returned, bringing in a notorious gang, his father had been mistaken again, this time by lowlifes looking for revenge, supplies, chems, or ammunition. They started to ruffle through all the drawers, cupboards, and stockpiles, taking every cap, bullet or food item that crossed their vision. Eber, a terrified boy of 11 was struck with sudden rage and foolishly jumped out from the safety of the shadows to attempt to stab one of the men with a sharpened discarded pencil. The Gang quickly incapacitated him, tortured him, and had him tied to the back of a brahmin stationed outside. After the homestead was pillaged and burned to ash.

Eber was sold into slavery near New Vegas to a Gang of Education soldier, who beat and burned him into submission. After 3 years of legionary style training and rigorous abuse, Eber was forged into something he knew he had to become to survive the wasteland, if only it had come on his own terms from his father. Eber waited until the soldier believed he was completely psychologically broken, Eber broke a mirror and slashed the throat of his captor with a shard of broken glass, being of such stature from his enormous father, he fit into the clothing of the soldier, and escaped the encampment. From the ages of 16 to 22 he lived on his own in the wilderness of the Mojave. The harsh environment, war, and demons of his past continuing to haunt him, he lost his purpose and set out to find a new life, wandering the United States.

By the age of 27 he had been through many hardships, many psychological and many from the unforgiving nature of the world around him, he had lost many friends and many enemies lay dead by his hand, he decided to head for the south, getting closer to New Mexico, where he wanted to extract revenge against the Slavers, losing hope, he realised that revenge would serve him no purpose and most likely get him killed. Eber decided to settle in the bosom of the Southern American wastes, looking for new purpose, and to forge his own fate, Eber hoped to follow in the footsteps of his father, but with such a past, and a jaded psyche, he could not have the same demeanour, and has leaned towards being less trusting, but his good nature and will to make a difference will continue to battle him to this day. Only time will tell how his life will progress.

Now as man man of 34, the handicap of age will be upon him in the coming years, and his once peaking physical strength will be diminishing, wisdom settles into his very being and once a bloodthirsty man, is now less of a ruthless killer, Eber aims now to better the community at large, whatever he can do to help this along will be done, he realizes that change often starts with the actions of one, and not so much of a cult leader as he would like to be, he aims to make a following, to better the wasteland and make it hospitable to those who have been shown the horrors of it. A less than stellar intellect and an even lesser charismatic charm, the possibilities seem limited.

Strengths/Weaknesses

In combat, Eber usually makes a point to dispatch targets at long range, or up close with his melee capabilities, nothing in-between as his shaking hands when an enemy comes closer while he brandishes his gun. Eber also finds is distasteful to kill another human being without reason, and has always found it much easier to kill animals because of his favourite pastime, hunting.

Eber is a survivalist after Les Stroud's blood, and could likely grind 3 flowers into a salt-shaker and produce a powerful painkiller, he can cook and fend for himself, he is good with working with his hands and can fashion traps and weapons under the right conditions, with the correct supplies, fixing machinery is a whole other story however.

Eber is not the best when it comes to science and technology, in fact he sucks hairy donkey scrotum and couldn't hack his way out of a Microsoft word document, due to his upbringing, he would rather fight, or think his way out of a problem without using computers at all.

Up to three Traits:

Heavy Handed
You have hams for hands, or perhaps just a disposition that encourages forcing the square peg into the round hole. In combat, both in hand-to-hand and when using melee, you are a straight up smasher. In life, you have a tendency of forcing things until they work. While you don't bother with getting as many critically damaging hits, or with issues of precision, your rough style does larger chunks of damage with each hit, and can often overpower issues with brute strength.

Chem Resistant
Mental or physical, for some reason chems never quite managed to do it for you. The bottom line is, for one reason or another, chems effects on you are weaker, and your highs are shorter. Of course, the lack of an appeal or strong effect is the reason becoming addicted is almost half as likely.

Marksman
You specialize at ranged warfare. When using a projectile weapon, such as a bow or firearm at long range, your accuracy increases. However, you get shaken when enemies close in, reducing your accuracy with projectile weapons at close range.

This reminds me a lot of the first character I made. You've made all the changes I suggested in chat so...

You Pass!

This topic is going to be moved to the database. There you will be expected to keep track of your character as their status changes due to injuries, new equipment, different appearances ect. This is also a great place to keep track of missions he's been on which will help other people find the stories he's been in easily. This topic is also a great to talk about your character and the direction you want to take him with other people.

You are encouraged to place your character stats and info in your signature like I have and most of the members here have done as well. Browse through a few users signatures to get the idea of what to do.

THE CURSE OF THE MUMMY

The spirits have taken an interest in you for all the wrong reasons! Unexpected challenges will come to you during your RPs but the rewards doled out will be much juicier. It is possible to live with such a curse, but if you would rather live curse free, you could simply sell the corpse and wash your hands of the whole situation.

Lmgthev: MBP is handsome
LonesomeDrifter23: Sometimes I think MBP is a being made entirely of satire.
