Character Name: Watson Casey Forrest

SPECIAL: 7.6.6.3.6.7.5

Character Race: Human (Mixed Tribal, Caucasian ancestry)

Approx. age: 20

Character Personality: Watson is many things at once. Most of the time he is a relatively laid back, go with the flow type of person who enjoys life a step at a time. He is quick to laugh and smile, often baring his trademark crooked smile. At the same time Watson is a insecure and defensive person, quick to verbally defend himself from any perceived insult (even if the person didn't actually insult him). A reflective, introspective person; Watson occasionally finds himself (especially during a trivial task such as walking during his travels or doing a boring, monotonous job) daydreaming or reflecting on past events on his life and wondering how or what he could had done to do it differently. He's quick to philosophize and speak his mind.

An argumentative person, Watson also holds his principles dear. A quick thinker on his feet as well, he makes a surprisingly convincing debater (if a bit crude due to his foul language or if someone can understand/translate for him). He'll argue with someone until he's blue in the face and refuse to admit that he's wrong, but, he'll eventually listen to reason even if it takes him a bit to realize that his way may not be the best way. Watson also gets incredibility scrappy, especially in physical confrontations. The amount of "fight" he has in him often surprises his opponents.

Character Appearance: Standing at five feet, ten inches and weighing in just under a hundred and seventy pounds; Watson also has green eyes. Watson's hair is short and shaved and has a long, scraggly brown beard with the occasional blonde hair. If Watson ever grew out his hair, it would be dirty blonde. Watson is also noticeably muscular with large trapezius muscles, back muscles, arms and thighs due his teenage years spent lifting heavy equipment and rowing the oars of the boat he worked on during most of his life.

Watson has various skin imperfections. He has acne, clustered on his forehead and on the right side of his face. In addition he also has forehead wrinkles. His teeth are also crooked and yellowed. Watson has cauliflower ear on his left ear, the result of a pick-up game of Pushball gone wrong when Watson tackled a member of the opposing team and smacked his ear against the man's knee; leaving him with cauliflower ear. Watson's skin also doesn't seem to tan, his skin burns instead leaving him with nasty looking sunburn almost all of the time.

Watson also has a thick accent, similar to a pre-war Cajun accent just thicker. In addition to him speaking very rapidly and sometimes quietly it makes him very hard to be understood. Even those close to him sometimes struggle to understand just what Watson is getting at.

Finally, Watson is never seen without his battered pre-war trucker cap. The faded logo for Big Boss cigarettes is seen on the front, and part of the hat's bill is missing from when a gator got a little too close to Watson and ended up biting off part of his hat.

Starting equipment: - Tribal villager outfit: Watson wears a simple grey flannel shirt and pants made from old potato sacks. His shoes are moccasins made from brahmin leather. It doesn't get any more simplistic than that.

- Fillet knife (switchblade): Watson originally used this to cut up and fillet the fish he would catch. He has found that it also serves as a handy stabbing weapon in a pinch, although certainly not as good as something actually designed for humans.

- Junk flinger: A crossbow made by a tribal friend of Watson's, it can shoot various bolts. Watson has found it to be very effective during bowfishing and occasionally attaches some line to it.

- x1 Can of post war chewing tobacco: Made from a variety of sources, almost none of it actually tobacco, it smells like a mixture of manure and gasoline and leaves Watson's mouth smelling like it. Despite the smell and the foul taste, it relaxes the nerves. In addition, Watson has added a small amount of pre-war instant coffee adding the caffeine quick which wakes and alerts Watson.

Character story: Watson Casey Forrest was born to Chuck Willie Forrest and Laughing Rabbit Forrest in the small Arkansas village of Sholty, located on the Mississippi River. Chuck Willie worked on the Mississippi River as a boatman; hauling people and supplies up and down the river for money. Laughing Rabbit Forrest was his bought and paid for wife, whom he had traded several bottles of whiskey and a few firearms for after Chuck Willie fell in love with her at first sight. The two quickly produced a child, Watson, whom his father named after his deceased younger brother.

Watson was teased and bullied during his childhood years for being half tribal. One of the smaller children of the village originally, he would often find himself in fights with the other village children. Eventually, the fighting would stop and Watson was accepted as one of the village children's equal and would join them in games after Watson got the better of the bullies in some of the fights. When not playing game with his new friends, Watson was often helping his family with chores whether it be helping his father with his boat (which was the families economic lifeblood) or helping his mother gather food (which included fish, berries and the occasional Mirelurk meat).

When Watson turned thirteen, his parents pressed him to join his father's family profession of being a boatman on the Mississippi River. Watson began joining his father during his multi-day boat trips up and down the Mississippi as they moved people and goods up and down the river. Watson grew to appreciate and respect the river, due to it's dangerous currents and sharp rocks that hid underneath the waters. His father also passed down the various skills he had learned during his long career as a boatman; teaching Watson how to make the necessary repairs to both the boat and the equipment in the boat.

By the time Watson was seventeen, he was an experienced boatman in his own right. Asking his parents permission to join up with one of the bigger "water caravans" of traders who would make long runs up and down the entire length of the Mississippi river; he received his parents blessing on the eighteenth birthday. Signing on with one of the water caravans as a rower, Watson took off in search of adventure.

However, Watson was also unprepared for the life of a water caravaneer. Unlike his father, who presented almost no target for the river pirates of the Mississippi; river pirates looked at the slow moving john boats of the water caravans as easy, ripe prey. Watson helped fight off pirate attacks three times before he was nineteen, although he admittedly spent most of the fight taking cover.

Watson also spent a short, three month stint in jail when he was nineteen in a small town in Mississippi following him being caught with torch and then resisting arrest after his boat was searched by town guards. By the time he was released, he was twenty years old. He left jail not as sure he wanted to spend the rest of his life breaking his back to row a boat so he could get shot at by pirates; he set out in search of adventure in riches. He arrived in Texas shortly afterwards.

Character strengths and weaknesses: Watson's greatest strengths is being on the water. Having been born near the rivers of the South and spending most of his childhood near them, he is an excellent boatman. In addition, he is strong and tough from years of dealing with the rough weathers of the water and from rowing the oars that's propelled the various watercraft he's been a crewmember on. He's a solid handyman, used to the constant small-repairs he would have to do on boats in order to keep them running and operating.

Watson's charisma suffers due to the fact that many people can't understand him past his thick accent and misinterpret what he says. In addition he has no working knowledge of energy weapons, computers, robots, or really anything that has to do with electronics. In addition his argumentative ways tends to land him in trouble, especially if he starts arguing with the wrong people. Watson also has an addition to chewing tobacco that needs almost constant fulfillment.

Up to three Traits: Heavy handed, fast learner.
