Suvarna had started to arrange the odds and ends in bundles that could be loaded onto the brahmin when Jackal answered her queries by shooting the injured brahmin. She rolled her eyes and exhaled sharply. "I was going to suggest you walk her into the garage to do that, so you could use those chains there to hang it up, I suppose you can drag its extremely heavy carcass there instead."

She continued to pack alongside Deko telling him "Why don't you help Jackal with that brahmin. And tell me when its drained out, I can make use of it."

She attempted to strip down as much as she possibly could from the homestead and the gunmen, using her years of experience helping her parents on the caravan trail to make the best use of the brahmins' capacity.

Jackal sighed and walked his way slowly over to another Brahmin - a healthy one - and picked a looped rope from the paddock fence. He then carefully knotted it into something that looked vaguely like a halter (that or some creepy-ass bondage knot) and looped it over his chosen Brahmin's head. He led her slowly over to the dead one and tied the halter to the dead one's ankle. He then continued to lead the none-too-happy live Brahmin towards the garage, dragging the carcass unceremoniously into the cold, shady building.

He untied the corpse and led the healthy one back into the paddock - where she was all too happy to go. Jackal removed the halter and returned to the garage, inspecting the Block and Tackle assemblies, noting that someone had kept them oiled up. He pulled the chain through both ways, then tested the other block and tackle. Both were found to be suitable, and Jackal tied the chains around the Brahmin's rear legs. With a little swearing and muscular pressure, he and Deko had the Brahmin hanging in the air and the chains secured to prevent the mutant bovine dropping back to the floor. Jackal slid a pot under the Brahmin's head to collect the blood, then drew his knife, stabbing it into the Brahmin's carotid arteries.

"And now we wait," Jackal grunted as the Brahmin began to drain.

"Anyway. Then me and CP were like "Lul, wut?" and then Run had to step in and use his e-peen as a riot baton and then Doffa sorta left."

In the meantime, Suvarna had loaded the healthy brahmin with their haul. She entered the garage, wrinkling her nose at the not unfamiliar stench. "Well done gentlemen. Let's get the useful bits bundled up and we will be good to go."

With their help the meat and plentiful fat stores of the brahmin were collected and stowed away as best as possible. Suvarna looked around at the plundered homestead and winced. "Let's get out of here. With luck we'll make it back to Bucket Town in time to catch a couple of hours of sleep."

She started leading the small train of laden brahmin as she had done many a time on the caravan trails. Eventually Sparse Shade could only be seen as a faint trail of black smoke. By the time Bucket Town was in sight, that too was gone. More weary than wary, Suvarna failed to stifle a yawn. "Alright. Once we get into town, we can corral these in the ruin I pitched my tent at. You two can get some sleep while I cook up a little something. With any luck you'll have what you need amongst this stuff to start making that centrifuge."

An okay mission, but it felt odd and lopsided. The flow was lost from one member's post to another, and it kinda brought down everything as a whole. Ovaltine, you did quite well for a first RP. The writing was sound, and the only issue for me was a little floundering on the part of the narrative style. You'll hit your stride soon, I'm sure. Run, you did quite well yourself, but it felt like it lacked consistancy. Eremity, you made a good effort. You definately need a lot of practice, but you're improving already.

Something odd happened to the other two, both falling to exhaustion in the short trip, although this one still seems to be doing quite well. Hopefully it'll stay that way.
