About a week ago I came up with a weapon called the Tesla cannon.

Today, dicking around on the vault, (PS3 users don't get no DLC...)I notice.

Broken steel has a weapon called the 'Tesla cannon'.

DUUN DUUUUN DUUUUUUUUUUN.

(Also note their new type of ghoul to runner4's custom one. DUUN DUUUUN DUUUUUN!)

(Also, compare the energy weapon 'multi-beam laser' here, to their 'tri-beam laser rifle')

Very compelling evidence. Bethesda is stealing from us.

As a fellow PS3 user, I found out in much the same way.

Over on the Fanon Wiki, we have the BCR-4 Laser Cannon, to which the Tesla Cannon bears an uncanny resemblence in form and function. And the "it shoots lightning" thing bears an amazing similarity to my own Tesla Pistols.

I'm just waiting for them to steal my Field Ripper, or start using HEIAP bullets in the games (one of my characters uses them extensively in the Fanon Wiki RPs).

Don't get me started on the Discharge Hammer! Fortunately, Beth must have realised I'd have hunted their designers down and removed their eyes with a heated spoon, so they cut it.
Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.

Ahahahaha. Yeah. Well, I suppose when you have two groups of people both working on new concepts in the same 'world', overlaps are to be expected.

Oh yeah... and.

OH MY GOD AWESOME! It seems the majority of fallout 3 players are on the box. Seeing as I value Sony over Microsoft, it's good to see I'm not the only PS3 user on the forum. Anyway, my PSN's Zilabus (I know, I know, Never woulda guessed.) so throw me an add if your ever in the neighbor hood.

Oh yes.

Back onto the goings on of the forum, yes? Once again, my good intentions got bogged down over the weekend. But I'll pop in some crap for the forum throughout the week.

I'm kinda losing faith in Sony after the whole DLC debacle. They just don't seem to give a crap any more, you know? They keep saying "Oh yeah, you're paying for potential. Yeah, that's it, potential!"

Potential ain't worth shit if you don't use it, and Sony just aren't putting the PS3s potential to use the right way. They rearranged their priorities somewhere, and customer satisfaction got pushed waaaaaaay down that list.

I think they're starting to see that sometimes earning exclusive DLC is as good as earning an exclusive game. (The Playstation store has definatly improved) My faith in them has actually grown. Last year, they really hit their stride, and the momentum has continued. Exclusives like MGS4, Killzone, LBP, Resistance, and later on this year INfamous have made me glad I bought the PS3.

I don't know. While they've had some pretty big blunders, I've come to realize that Microsoft is investing in the fastest and highest profit possible, while Sony is investing in the brand. Your right about the fact the PS3 hasn't been brought to it's full potential yet. But I think we're quickly getting there, and it's a safe bet to say that when the use of the PS3 is perfected, it will trump out the 360 (Tech wise, at least) every time.

On an unrelated note, in the volotile stock market we're seeing now, Sony is making some pretty big gains, while Microsoft has been falling down rather steadily.

You have a point. I have sadly been neglecting my PS3 lately, but with Killzone 2 and MGS4 (which, to be honest, is more of a film than a game, but that's not a bad thing) et al coming out, I suppose Sony have begun to cop on. And I completely agree, the PS3 is a better beast, but it uses a lot of new technology, and most people (developers that is) will want to stick with what they know. Presumably, that is why there are so many bugs in PS3 versions of multi-platform released games.

Yeah. The port to the PS3 seems to always be worse then it is on the other consoles (Actually. The Wii pretty much has the hardware of last-gen, so console.). I think we're finally starting to see great games made with the PS3 tools, and that's why developers are starting to pick up on it more. I don't know. I think it's finally 'passed the hill' so to speak. Now that developers, are picking it up in ernest it's starting to see some great improvements. (Plus, Blu-ray winning the Format wars has helped a bit.)

But will big time developers take on the challenge of new hardware? Only time will tell.
