Level 7
|
Greetings and Salutations to all of you who have come here to read the rules of the board, and then, hopefully join it. The Multiverse is a strange, and wonderful place, but to keep the forum fair, and just for all, rules have been put in place, as well as a system of Checks and Balances. We have no intentions of making everything to complicated to roleplay, but really would like to take, and hold onto the Dungeons and Dragons feel of Role Playing, as there was once in the old days, when Role Playing was still young and Exciting. 1) The first rule, is to obey the following rules, and understand a few things about the board, and its system from the get-go. Now, post count will go toward your character's Experience. Once you reach a certain number of posts, your character will proceed to a new Level, be sure to watch and make sure, as the Admin will not be watching for your character to gain a level. Once you have gained a level, new spells, weapons, and other items will open up to your character. Now you may claim a certain number of Spells and Items from the "Shops", as long as your character is the appropriate Level or Above. If you would like additional spells or weapons, it will cost you Experience points, or posts for short, which result in a back peddling of Levels, resulting in the need to reclaim your experience, and level up once more before using your new Level spells. 2) While many role players already know this from other boards, there will be no Godmodding tolerated here in the Multiverse. To prevent godmodding, certain spells and abilities, as well as weapons, will not be available until characters reach an upper level of role playing. Depending on the spell, your character may need to be level 2 or higher to even dream of obtaining it. 3) Please, do not spam inside the In Character (IC) lands. Doing so will result in a warning. If you max out your Warnings, the next step will be Board Suspension for up to a Month, depending on how bad the offense is. There are areas of the board that are set up for nothing more than spam, and general conversations, so that you may interact with the insane public to your hearts content. 4) Worlds are a very important part of the Multiverse experience, however, we must ask the members to please not Plane Hop, before they are eligible to receive and have the spell "Plane Step" in your possession. Now, "Plane Step" is a level 3 spell, and until you receive that spell you will be "Confined" the a world of Oerth, unable to see the other lands, until you reach Level 3, than many other worlds will open up to you. This is mostly to avoid having those new to the site being decimated by those of upper levels. 5) This is one of the most important rules, so keep this in mind. A character of a lower level, lets say, level 1, will not be able to match Strength, or Power with a Level 3 and could come no where near to the power needed to defeat a being who has reached the Coveted Epic Level, or above. When a character reaches level 1, and asks for the certain amount of spells and items from the shops, they can, if they so choose, also receive a + Level strength Spell. Now this spell gives one limited strength, to keep things rather fair to the members who have worked for their above average Strength. A + Level Speed will also be available, as well as other modifiers for certain Races. 6) Now, this is the most important rule of them all. Remember to have fun. If you have any questions about anything, please ask in the Help Section, that way we may put together a FAQ for the Board, so that future members can have an easy reference for their own questions. Thank You, The Admin. |
