yup me and the questions again lol I was wondering about staking. Does it kill a vampire, have no effect or paralyze them? And what about silver? Does it have any effects on them? Is it poisonous? Is it deadly? And how about fire? I know it can kill a vampire but what about burns? Or does it just turn whatever part it touches into dust? And do vampires dream? Can they see visions of the future? Can they invade other peoples dreams? I know I am probably getting way to technical with this but I just want to know all my bases in case stuff comes up or the people in the camp ask him how to defeat his own kind. lol I just like to know what I can and can not do and what can or can not affect him and such. Sorry if I am overwhelming you with all of this! -Alex |

I think it would depend mostly on how OLD a vampire is. Fledglings can get harmed or killed very easily, whereas older vamps like Vlad wouldn't even be phased. Sunlight be lethal to fledglings, as probably a good beheading too, I think. I'm just probably shooting off answers I would know for certain, so Katie or Eve, if you can fill in what I missed....

Okay so, Staking has no effect whatsoever on any vampire. A fledgling may be wounded by a "stake" but its not going to be the end all of a battle, vampire's on this site do not get staked and go "poof!". Silver doesn't effect fledglings OR Ancients. I throw that out completely, they wear it and love it just like anyone else. Fire will burn their flesh much the same way it will burn human flesh, no immediate turning to dust or anything. Too much fire, will kill a fledgling and probably wound an ancient, of course Vlad aside, he's the grand daddy of them all and is pretty much impervious to everything. But since we are on the subject of fire, there is a plant that grows in the northern plains of Terra, which is called Foxfire. It is a big bushy flowerette in the shape of a fox's tail and Vampire's, ANY VAMPIRE is allergic to it. That plant is mainly the reason why Terra has not fallen to Karash in the past. They cannot cross a circle of it, they cannot get close to foxfire at all. If they do it severly burns them, and fledglings burst into flames and then turn to dust if they run through it. Vampire's most definitely dream! It depends on what kind of talents they have been given by their undeath, but I will not say that they could invade others dreams or even perhaps see the future. These traits will just be VERY unlikely in a vampire that is very young. And when i say very young I mean like anything between 1-150yrs old. I know that 100 or 150 sounds old to us, but we have to take into account that the "ancients" on this site are a couple THOUSAND if not TENS of THOUSANDS years old. So in the grand scheme of things, 100-150 is still baby. Once a vampire on this site gets into the 300s or 400s they're probably fairly well established and not considered newbs, unless an ancient is around. As for what can kill most vampires, well the army or any force that Vlad puts together to send into battle will be mainly fledglings so they will be very easy to kill. So how do you kill a vampire? Any Terran will tell you, find some foxfire and soak it in oil, then, the day before battle rest your sword in the oil concoction. When they are ready to fight they have a weapon that no fledgling or even ancient can withstand. Foxfire infused sword. Now, of course that means that the vampire will definitely try to disarm you, but...good luck disarming a Terran, even on your best day. If you do not have a firefox infused sword, then a regular sword will do, and you just hack and slash! If you can behead a vampire then they will die, just like anything else...but its getting close enough to do it that's the trick. So...to answer your question, basic battle maneuvers will take down a youngling, Foxfire will keep them away and Vlad can't be killed. Oh yes! and also, if a vampire is a 'direct descendent' of literally, Vlad made them, no matter what their age, they will be just a bit more powerful than the rest and sunlight will not hurt them, fledgling or not. Vlad's blood is very old and very powerful and those few who are lucky to have it, benefit from it.If you have any more questions, let me know! Katie ![]() (just so everyone knows that now. The point of this "war" is not to kill Vlad because he cannot die.) Edited by Shyla Tadros, Jun 22 2010, 11:43 AM.

Whoa... thorough! LOL! And that is why I leave the vampire details to Katie! All very good questions though Alex! At some point when I have time I must remember to work up some Race/Species cards for the site that should have all that fun kinds of information on it. For now, please, everyone feel free to ask if you have ANY questions! -Your Friendly Neighborhood Admin |

Alright, that really depends on their age, i'm thinking something like 1,000 or so. But, and this is the catch, if they have "old blood" such as they were turned by Vlad himself, or one of Vlad's direct children, they will be impervious to sunlight immediately. Old blood is very powerful. Thanks for the Question! |
