Vorigan stretched out along the bench that sat against the tower wall. He'd been pacing the Southern Tower, looking towards the smoke that rose from Terra and worried about his plan. It had only been a week now that he'd let the green haired Tadros go with his shadow loving second wife, and had taken Xanthia has his own. The idea still gave his stomach butterflies, not because he was worried about his father finding out, but he because he was so in love with the half goblin. He'd not known how easy it could be to choose her over his father until it happened, until her life was in danger and only he could save it. He didn't know how Vlad was going to react to the situation, perhaps he wouldn't care much about Lasher escaping with Vorigan's help, he was more interested in Tadros' wife anyway, but Vorigan's attention to Xanthia...would that cause Vlad's anger to stir? "Of course it will." He got up off the bench, beginning to pace. He was wearing his era's clothes again, his jeans, his sneakers and a red hoodie that helped keep the cool weather away from his skin. Of course, truth be told, the elements didn't bother him much, he was dead after all, but it was small things like warm clothes that he still dressed in, just to feel a little more human. Of course, he wouldn't share that feeling with anyone else, not even Xanthia, for fear that they would see him as weak. "I'm not weak, and I'm sick of leading an army for a man who casts aside such a lovely woman for another. He has grown more vain as the decades have gone by. Perhaps it's time I knock him down a few pegs?" Vorigan rested his chin in his palms as he leaned against the tower's outer wall that looked down over a great canyon. Long ago, a river had run through Karash, the vampire thought, once, long ago, it had been beautiful, lush. Vlad had destroyed that. "I will have her. Even if it means killing him. It is finally time to stand on my own. I have had enough of my father's Kingdom." |

Khorne had been watching the man on the tower for about an hour now, for some reason he seemed intent on the smoke from Terra. The slaughter coming from there was no doubt something that vampires would enjoy, and he himself would of loved to be a part of. No matter, he had orders from Darkling and he would see that the seeds of intrigue would be planted in the minds of the two vampires whom Vlad had spurned. He had watched him quietly from the top of the tower and had noticed him talking to himself. Odd, even for those who were seen as mad. Yet these words seemed to be finishing thoughts rather than the voices he had heard in his own earlier in his life. Finally he decided to just go down there and make his move to bring this vampire in. He simply strode down the stairs and appeared before the vampire prince. He stretched out his leathery wings, the elements didn't bother him at all, so he only bothered with a light jerkin and his leather breeches. "Bring down your fathers empire? That would be an instant conviction of treason if the right person were to hear it." He almost laughed at the thought of the vampires killing their own, it wasn't unheard of but it would simply be doing the job of the Humans for them. "What would you say if I could offer you a chance to do just that? What's more I could help you to break him entirely?" It was the defining moment here, if he accepted then the plan would go on without a hitch. If not then he would have to strike him down here, or at least get out of here. After all the man didn't yet know his name. |

Vorigan eyed Khorne suspciously. "You speak of treason? How do I know you are not one of Vlad's spies, come to test my loyalty?" He took a step away from the other man and crossed his arms over his chest in defense. "You can give me leverage? What do you gain in seeing the Dark Lord fall? You are vampir are you not? Do you not love our father, as I do?" Vorigan sat down on the stone bench not far away from the ledge he'd been leaning against before. "I do love him, you know." He said finally, his arms still crossed over his chest. "Its just that...perhaps he's become too confident." he looked up at Khorne, staring into his eyes. "Who are you, I haven't seen you around my father's castle." Suspicion replaced his treacherous pondering and he waited to see what Khorne would say, but as he was silent, far to his left a door opened and he looked up to see who had entered through it and his heart leaped at the sight of Xanthia. She was so lovely, in her evil way. Her body swayed with in an acute manner. His guilt over backstabbing his father vanished and he let himself smile. "Ah, it is my lady." He watched her approach and he patted the stone bench next to him, wanting her close to him. The two hadn't spoken since Tadros had been given away and he still wasn't sure what her desires were, her thoughts were clouded from him. No doubt she'd had experience in veiling them from her years among the Vampires. "Xanthia, beautiful, how are you this fine, evening?" His words were calm, and he let his eyes rest on Khorne once again. "This is my father's woman, the one I'd bring down his Kingdom to have. You speak of treason, but I have already committed it with every time I have looked on her lovely face." He smiled then. |
