Welcome aboard the official Legacy Tour! Thank you so much for your interest in our site! We are always happy to have new visitors and the prospect of new members! Please take the time to read through all the information that we have provided here. We have taken a great deal of time to create this tour to ensure all new members understand this beautiful and complex world we have created for you! With that in mind, please keep all hands and arms inside at all times and we’re off!
The first stop on our tour is a history of the site itself:
Our Story:
The administrators here on The Legacy created this site way back in 2005 with the original idea of two warring factions: The Guild and the Council. They were both based in the city Kalimshere and that story line lasted for some time before we began to feel the need to expand. Kalimshere grew into the nation of Carthan and then its neighbor Terra sprung up… from there the snowball effect took hold and we created an entire world with ten incredibly unique countries with their own people and cultures. We even have several “Outlands” that exist in several myths and legends that may or may not exist outside the boundaries of the known world. We have created wars and unlikely alliances and the site continually grows and evolves with its members and the ever inventive plot lines they and the admins have come up with. We take great pride in the work and time that has gone into this site and we are forever grateful to the wonderful members who have helped to make The Legacy everything that it is!!
We’ve reached the “Understanding our World” portion of the tour! This is by far the most time consuming but it is also the most important! Each country has its own unique history, culture and customs! Reading through these is vital to understanding who and what each nationality means to its people and the rest of the world!
Our Quick Facts section is just a quick reminder of some of the things read in the World Records and Factions sections that help new members as well as existing ones who are looking to create a new character put together the individual pieces of the puzzle such as race, nationality and alliances.
