"Jade. Hi." Tristan was almost surprised when she picked up. He had called her before, even left a message, but never got a reply. |

Jade wiped her eyes. Great, she shouldn't even be talking to him. "Hi, Tristan," her lip trembled and she started crying again. |

Tristan could hear her voice weaken, and thought he heard her begin to cry. "Jade what's wrong?" |

"I can't--I can't really talk about it," Jade tried to calm down. |

"Jade, where are you? Are you okay?" He could feel his stomach tensing, wondering what could have happened. |

"I'm at work," she sniffed. She closed her eyes. She should hang up. She shouldn't keep talking to him. "No, I'm not okay at all." |

"Where is your work?" He responded quickly. She obviously needed someone, and he wanted to fill that need. |

"Alright," Tristan wrote it down on the pad he had in front of him. "I'll be right there." He hung up the phone, and hurried to close up the shop. |

Jade couldn't tell him not to come and to forget it because he hung up. She sat down on the couch. What had she done? She was only making things worse. |

Tristan arrived soon after he hanging up with her. The door to the building was open so he walked in. "Jade?" he called out, shutting the door behind him. |

Jade lifted her head. He got here fast. "I'm here! In the waiting lounge!" she yelled, hearing his voice. What are you doing, Jade? |

Tristan turned his head, following her voice. He began to walk, turning the corner to where Jade was. She looked like she had been crying for a while. Seeing her like this made Tristan even more concerned than he was when he was on the phone with her. "Hey," he spoke up softly, making his way to the couch. |

A fresh rush of tears burned in her eyes. "You shouldn't have come here," she shook her head. |
