It is so easy man, Ok, Copy The File from Ice Age's Huntdat Folder and put it in C2's Huntdat folder or do the same thing with C2 and too the Ice Age Folder just as I told you, and I hope you know how to edit the files with the Res and Stuff. Good Luck! |

Yeah, I do. I actually figured it out myself... I've got to stop posting before I actually try my hand at the thing... ALTHOUGH I have a few problems, namely; the pigs and wild boars do their eating animation when they die, any ideas on how to fix that? |

Actually Grimace. It doesn't matter what AI you set them to. Many of the Ice Age animals will simply NOT function correctly in the original Carnivores 2. The same goes if you try to import dinosaurs from C1 and C2 to Ice Age. There is one exception to this rule and that's Chasmosaurus and Triceratops. The Carnivores 1 AI for the Triceratops is exactly the same as that of the Chasmosaurus AI in Carnivores 2. Another example is the flying ambients. (Pteranodons, Dimorphodons, and Archeopteryx) this is because this is another AI that remains unaltered throughout the series. Most other dinosaurs and animals will simply not function correctly when put in another Carnivores game. (Of course you can't import to Carnivores 1.) In Carnivores 2, if you use the T-Rex AI for the Yeti, the game will crash if the yeti kills you because the game is trying to pull up animation data that simply doesn't exist in the yeti's mesh so it Shits out and dies. Oh and please stop with the topic derailment using your skins. It...kind of makes a mess and ruins the purpose of the topic. Make your own topics for your skins please and thank you. =P |

Thanks for the info. I'll just use the ones that do work and get rid of the ones that don't. |

You can also import the Pachycephalosaurus from carnivores 1 to Carnivores 2 but it has to use the Gallimimus AI to function properly. That's kind of disappointing though because it means it won't be worth any points or be able to be hunted for as a trophy. It will still act normal though. |

Not quite, the "run" and "walk" animations are switched around, but aside from that, it should be OK. You can use my .car viewer/editor to list the animations for a creature and compare them with the ones from another one. |

BTW, are you running Carnivores 2/IA or CCE? There's a better way in CCE |

Go to the Huntdat\mods directory. There you should see the hell raptor mres and .car file. Copy that to use to add new dinosaur types, rather than edit the res file. In next release: You can also simply replace ONLY the skin of a car file using the skin = "skinfile.tga" command. This would save lots of space. Im also working on the animation overrides . I also hope to have all the Ice Age creatures in the game soon |
